This was very well rated, and may be the best option in the area, but we did not have a good experience. We were expecting basic Americanized Mexican food, not fine dining or anything. The place was cute inside and plenty of seating. The food was pretty terrible- the salsa tasted like straight canned tomato sauce and was very watery. The queso was liquid with almost no flavor and didn’t stick to the chips. Enchiladas Suizas had essentially no sauce, it was dry chicken inside with a few onions and then lightly damp tortillas. The chile relleno was smothered in cheese, but the pepper was soggy and weird and hard to cut. Refried beans were ok.
As far as the service- It was super fast, but our server seemed very confused when taking our order (we ordered directly from the menu with no modifications, I pointed on the menu at what we were ordering, AND I speak Spanish so I switched to that when he still seemed confused). We got the largest size margaritas but ordered medium (which was fine but we were charged for large) the sides were wrong, and they brought 3 chile rellenos instead of the 1 we asked for. We asked the manager to correct things when she stopped by and she brought the things we were missing. The bill wasn’t even close to correct- none of the prices lined up at all with what we actually got OR what we ordered. We had to write out our own bill for ourselves and paid that. At least it was cheap! Like $35 for 3 people to eat including margaritas- you get what...
Read moreWent there because of the nice article in Sunday paper. Saw 3 people I know and all had read the article. Food was delicious. I was not rushed at all. I kept the menu and ordered as I decided, not all at once. Hot wings??? Had to order them first. Then avocado held my attention, so I ordered guacamole salad. Cleaned the plate! Crisp lettuce.. Meanwhile. more salsa had already been brought to me and I ate it all . . So took a break 2 take care of business call. Finished off with dessert...?? So ..?? sil.. ?? something deep fried, drizzled w/honey, cinnamon and something else. Vanilla ice cream over this and drizzled with chocolate. So pretty. And tasty. (I may have a cavity. Ice cream caused lot of pain in back!!) With a cup of black coffee, I finished my first meal there. I definitely expect to return often. So, as 3 of us are standing by check out waiting for the man to come, another customer waiting walks up and takes the bill out of 3 women's hands. Our mouths dropped open. He said Merry Christmas. Said he's a regular..at least once a week .So...yes it was good and people just kept coming in. They also had a brisk take out business going on. Now I can have Mexican in Fayette county. They...
Read moreI walked in and 3 staff members tackled me and viciously beat me, before getting off and apologizing, claiming they mistook me for somebody else. They then led me to a table in a secret back room behind a bookshelf, and the menu they gave me was perfectly normal except all the dishes had the word "evil" before them. For example: Evil Tacos, Evil Nachos, etc. I decided to order the Evil Tacos but my waiter yelled "NO!" and beat my head into the table. I continued trying to order different dishes only to get the same response each time. Finally, they let me order the Evil Nachos, but they refused to give me a drink. When the Evil Nachos arrived, they were incredibly soggy but somehow had no toppings, just soggy chips. Finally, when they handed me the check it said the meal was over $300 despite the menu saying the Evil Nachos were only $20. I paid the full $300 and tipped my waiter $7. Overall a pretty good experience,...
