VERY disappointed in Mandabee's today. My husband and I got there at 5 PM to eat dinner. The hostess stood dumbfounded looking around the room, when we asked for a table on the lower level - and NOT a high top table, which is not suitable for older people or people with certain mobility issues. The seating UPSTAIRS is also not suitable for those with mobility issues, as the stairs are difficult to climb. Additionally, the ceiling upstairs is too low for tall people like my husband. The hostess simply stood gazing around the room and saying āhmmā, rather than seating us at one of the 3 open tables. It would have been nice to enjoy the music and dinner with my husband, but we didnāt get that opportunity. We were basically SHUNNED because there was only 2 of us for dining. If your restaurant doesnāt want small parties of older guests, or reserves large tables for call-ahead big group seating, then let us know. There were NO other customers waiting to be seated when we got there and NO customers arrived after we got there. Wouldnāt it be better to seat your guests than to leave them standing there feeling unwanted? Why is it so difficult to decide whether or not you will seat guests when there is no one else waiting to be seated? My husband and I decided to walk away, since we were apparently an inconvenience to you. This makes me feel very sad because I like supporting local businesses. VERY SAD. That was POOR...

Living in North Dakota now, Iāve grown used to the distance- distance from the mountains, from the winding roads, from the simple, comforting foods I grew up on back home in West Virginia. But during my visit, Frenchie brought a little piece of that back to me in a way I wasnāt expecting.
When she told me I had to try the fried bologna sandwich, the way she described it felt like home. It wasnāt just food- it was a memory, and when I took that first bite, I swear it felt like I was sitting in my grandmaās kitchen again. Crispy edges, perfect seasoning, a simple sandwich done perfectly.
Frenchieās kindness and genuine enthusiasm made the experience feel personal, like Iād been seen and understood without ever saying a word. Iāve written a lot of reviews over the years, but this one sticks with me- because sometimes a great meal can take you back to places your heart never really left.
Thank you, Frenchie. I didnāt realize how much I missed home until you handed it to me on a plate....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt took a little bit for us to be seated even though it was not that busy but once we were seated we were told another person would be our server. It took a long time for someone to come over to us but once they did we ordered our drinks and food together. We waited and waited, another server came and asked us our drink order to ensure the first girl was getting them. Finally we had drinks, a minute later we had our food but had to wait on my fries. I was finished with my sandwich before my fries came out. Our food was absolutely delicious but we felt like the staff was not working together. We couldn't wait any longer and just went directly to the register for our ticket and to pay. I had to tell the 2nd server what we ordered since the 1st server did not put it in the system and then there were computer issues. I really wanted to love this place but there were just too many issues. I hope they can get them fixed since the food...
