Las Palmas Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Oakdale

It was a nice place to have dinner/lunch. Some improvements could be done to their recipes though, one of the times i went in ordered Chiles Rellenos but the cheese they use just didn’t quite did it for me. I’m from México and i know thats not the recipe goes, and is understandable that ones does with what’s at hand so, maybe finding queso fresco around this area might not be easy or profitable as white melted cheese but it just don’t gives a good taste to the food. But nonetheless, that does not makes me give a bad review or less starts because overall, the times i had lunch/dinner, the food was worth 3-4stars and the service around 4-4.5 perhaps but not exactly a bad service is just they get reaaally busy at times and service might get slow. I order an appetizer and my main plate... they both arrived at the same time and took them quite some time to get them.

So, overall the place is good, nice food and nice service but some improvement could be done to their food ingredients and one extra server on pick...

I am from San Antonio, TX. I am accustomed to more seasoning and guacamole accompanies almost every dish. The food here was much more bland. The tortilla chips served while waiting were thin, crisp and simply GREAT! The water I ordered because I do not drink other beverages, was horrible. It had a bad taste that nothing could help. The server apologized and brought me a bottle of water that was sealed. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the server for our table of 7 was outstanding. I forgot my credit card there. I called after I got home since the restaurant was closed when I left for home early on Sunday. I was hung up on, twice. I had already frozen the credit card but had to order a new one. We'll with a family of 5 girls under 8 ,it really sucks when you order food off kids menu and food 3.99 each and they bring a large drink for all and the drink cost as much as meal 2.99 per glass ,so out of a $57.00 meal ,the drinks cost $30.50 and food for all cost $27.00 and waiter sits drinks rite in front of a one year old that everybody knows what happens ,well I wore a large sweet tea home In my pants home .
