The owners of donut savant are our neighbors. when the neighborhood participates on Earth day or Creek to bay donut savant comes to the rescue and furnishes my the volunteers with coffee and the delightful treats they are known for. Myself I'm pressing into labor because my sister is in charge of these events. I do it gladly because I know my payoff is donuts hearty coffee and a happy belly! I've lived in various metropolitan areas and never have I come across something so simplistic but yet so artful and creative as these donuts Imagine a petit four and then imagine that petty four is a glazed donut or Sweet roll or a chocolate eclair a simple round ball bursting with flavor oozing with love. The one bite morsels are one bite of heaven. Trust me if you need to have something for an office party or if you're going to someone's home even if it's for lunch or dinner and you bring donuts savant you'll be invited back as a guest and unfortunately amongst your office fans you're going to be the one that's expected to bring the donuts. I'd take glory in that fame. Shoppers secret, get an extra dozen for yourself because in the car you won't be able to stop yourself from opening the box, saying I'll yourself I'll just have one then showing up with...

My love for these donuts and Savant’s vibe knows no bounds. Since becoming pregnant, I’ve made it my second trimester’s mission to become a regular here. That’s right, I’m throwing some weight behind becoming that pregnant woman who buys 2 coffees and a box of donuts like she’s feeding an office.

Cronettes - 12/10. Their humble, 2-bite-sized cronuts are THE gems of the bunch. I find that the glaze-to-dough ratio is perfect, and the price just can’t be beat ($1ish). I buy one of each flavour.

Bernie, Jane Dough, Boston Cream - 9/10. These fluffy af cream filled ones are absolute keepers. The cream isn’t too sweet, and is a perfect cooling balance to the sweetness of the rest of the donut. The Bostom Cream is made with an incredibly dark and rich cacao glaze, which adds depth. *note - the cream is incredibly fresh, so it’s best to eat day of. It can sour.

The coffee - 9/10. Excellent strong brews that are always on point. Sometimes the iced/hot part of the order is mixed up, but the owners have no problem...

Donut Savant is arguably THE best donuts I’ve so far found in the SF Bay Area. This spot should be on the bucket list for any out-of-town visitors, as it has an assortment of donuts that is always freshly baked, decadent without being too sweet and a variety of sizes for all appetites.

So much of the selection of these donuts have a melt-in-your-mouth flavor that complement a crispy exterior texture with their comforting soft interior. When they are still slightly warm, eating them is easily addicting.

Service staff are warm, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Though there’s not much space on the inside, the space lends itself to easy conversation with others waiting in line and easily fosters a sense of community.

There’s some street parking, though it’s available if you don’t mind circling the block a couple of times. Your mouth will be grateful...
