Update: The location changed just down San Pablo now nestled between two buildings. The lines will be better controlled and there's more seating now. All my favorites were still on point, though, the chorizo had a strange nutty taste I didn't care for. Also, the agua de fresa tasted fake and too sweet. Still my favorite place. Original; All the cortes are delicious and full of flavor. My favorite thing to get is a mulita de cabeza con todo. With the handmade tortilla de maiz and cheese, I savored every bite. To my surprise the quesabirria was the best I've had in all of Oakland! They don't advertise it on the menu, though I noticed a tiny sign with a picture of the consumé near the order window, and I took a chance. A few drops of lime made it explode with flavor. Worth it! The al pastor tacos did not disappoint, as well as the asada. As other reviews mentioned, def don't skip out on the grilled onions and chiles. You ask for it while picking up the tacos; they are not at the salsa bar. The sidewalk is very cramped, but they manage to have one 'ordering' line and one 'pick up' line. With Bart just above you, and all the cars passing by, it gets LOUD. Please have patience and speak clearly. Lastly, there were several tip jars along the procession of ordering and picking up food. I left something in every jar. It's not clear how it's divided, but give it up to the people that will give you a dinner you'll be telling your friends and co-workers about.

I was in Oaktown helping out Felter Upgood and his little stab, Tāksitt Indabüüt install a new self lubricating Synchronized Wobblyshaft in a new addition they had built onto their house, just for this apparatus. The construction of the room is amazing, 12 inch thick walls and they're sound proof too! Well, we were all finished and got the thing tuned to the factory setting, then backed it up to 2 degrees before top dead center because Tāksitt says "that's where Kim Kardashian has hers set to." Then all the sudden Felter grabs his keys and says lets go get some tacos at La Parilla Loca! Giving his little stab the nod of approval to do a test run while we were away. It was my first time at La Parilla Loca and I'll tell you....the Tacos de cabeza were Amazing! 5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆

Amazing (clap clap clap). This is currently a taco truck kitchen + tents and seats and no longer LA style street tacos, yet every bite offers flavor and umami explosion that rewards you at the level of your tongue and nourishes every nerve of your mind. Tonnes of guac and great meat portion. Asada > cabeza = al pastor. Asada is cooked to perfection. Cabeza can be more fresh (ingredients not top notch). Al pastor is somewhat too oily. Free radish and cucumber which is great. Biggest room for improvement is waiting time. Since demand is high and kitchen capacity is limited, wait time can be nearly 30 mins. Perhaps hire more staff at kitchen and less at beverage station ?

I’m beyond satisfied with my visit to La Parilla Loca in East Oakland, California. The chicken and carne asada left my taste buds dancing with joy – the flavors were impeccable. And let’s talk about that burrito, it was a delicious masterpiece that left me craving more.

From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of delightful. As I savored each bite, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. It’s not easy to find a place that delivers such consistently amazing food.

If you’re searching for a spot that guarantees a satisfying meal, look no further than La Parilla Loca. They’ve definitely earned a loyal customer in me. Kudos to the team for creating a dining experience that truly...
