Pattys & Buns Burgers — Restaurant in Oakland

If this place wasn't so expensive I probably wouldn't be giving it such a low rating. But for over $40 for 2 burgers and fries, it should be good.

Instead I got burgers cooked beyond well done. Specified medium well in order. Completely dry, hard and black on the outside. No juice or flavor. When your child completely agrees with you and thinks the same overcooked burger is almost inedible you know it's bad.

And beyond that, there was absolutely no sauce on the already dry burgers, making them horrible. Nothing special about the toppings.

Fries were just OK, same for onion rings.

Delivery via Uber Eats receipt was wrong and missing a milkshake.

If you can't match the quality of even McDonalds at twice the price you can't expect customers to actually come back and eat beyond the initial visit/experience.

Harassing people who leave bad reviews takes more energy than actually making sure the food leaves in a proper manner from...

Slow service. My mom went to use the bathroom at this establishment and decided while she was there, she was gonna order something to go. She ordered a little before 3:50 pm and she didn't come out of the establishment until around 4:18 pm(mind you, the place was empty she says). All she got was one burger and fries, while there were people that came in minutes after us(3 people at that) who got their food a while before she did. We have young children in the car, one of which is special needs and they can get a little fussy at times. It shouldn't take that long for food to come out, especially if it's only ONE ORDER and it's fairly small at that. We could have gotten faster service at in n out and thats frustrating for me. The food is subpar but because of the service we won't be coming back. It was a ridiculous and agitating experience, especially for our first time. One of my all-time favorite guilty pleasures is a delicious cheeseburger.

Well, there is a spot in the hills of Oakland called Patty’s & Buns Burgers. One of my all-time favorites…Mushroom Swiss.

From the presentation, to the first bite, to the last morsel, It was absolutely delicious. Two juicy patties, Swiss cheese slow sliding off the burger, delicious sautéed mushrooms, crispy white onion, pickle, butter lettuce and juicy ripe tomato. Yummy!!

Be sure to get lots of napkins because you will need them; It’s that juicy, and defiantly add tater tots.. just the right amount of crunch. Oh, and I may or may not have had a delicious thick cookies, and cream shake.

So what I’m telling you is..if you’re ever craving a really good burger / cheeseburger, or if you’re ever stuck in traffic on interstate 13/Warren Freeway, exit off Joaquin Miller Road to Patty’s & Buns Burgers. I promise you it will...
