Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Oakland

Came in yesterday 6/4 at around 2:10pm. The guy who took order from me was RUDE FROM THE BEGINING. HE HAD MEAN TONE OF VOICE, NO SMILE, NO EYES CONTACT. I sensed the bad attitude from him. I was unhappy but it’s ok I said to myself, then I walked to a table and sat down.

About 15 minutes later, I said to him the sandwich taking too long (the restaurant was not even busy, I was the only one there and one other customer, I think), he was talking with one of the lady who also worked there, he turned to me and looked at home with HIS EYES WIDE OPEN with NO RESPECT to me whatsoever. He said they are making the sandwich. As I was replying to his answer, HE CUT ME OFF and said to me “Have a nice day!”. THAT WAS UNACCEPTABLE TO ME OR TO ANY CUSTOMER!!!!! MANAGER, HE DOES NEED A COURSE TRAINING ON HOW TO GIVE A DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and how to be a smart head and to respect customer (And I’m just asking for a decent and acceptable customer service, I’m not asking for a good customer which he failed to do so. Very SHAME ON HIM). I asked for his name, he said his name was JESSIE, but apparently HE LIED because on the receipt, the Server’s name was HARY H. Smh... So, I lost my appetite, I got my sandwich and left the restaurant because I couldn’t not eat there seeing his face. I WON’T COME BACK HERE...

This was the worst pizza ever . I ask for double extra cheese and paid for it on small pizza. When the young male clerk handed me the pizza , I shared that pizza did not have double extra cheese, in fact it was made incorrect . He claim that he had given them my request for the double extra cheese. He offer no customer service , in fact when i call to complain I was first told no manger was available , then i was transfer to to store and was received my the young clerk who had taken the order. He refuse to give his name . I spoke to him on 3/30 @ 5:37pm ( he non- African American young man) .When I shared my distaste about how I was treated he stated I seem happy. I was shock since I clearly stated that I was not happy but he made no effort to try to correct the situation. He further told me that when I brought matter to his attention-the lack of customer service , he made not effort to extend customer service by offering to remake , he stated " IT WAS NOT HIS JOB" to correct the situation. SOMEHOW THIS YOUNG MAN HAS NOT BEEN TRAINED IN THE DELIVERY OF Customer SERVICE . I SPEND ON A AVERAGE $ 100+ A MONTH WITH THIS ROUND TABLE. YES , I EXPECTED more customer service and a better pizza. Update: Jun.12,22 Since this review was originally publish the services had changed a lot. Yes, they made mistakes here and there but have been willing to fix them right the way.

I stop going to the Round table location on Grand Ave because it was very often they will mess up my order. I came to this location and they did better. Still struggling with getting a pizza with light cheese. Out of 3 times they get one right. Tonight my son, who loves Round Table pepperoni pizza asked me to get some, so I order a half pepperoni with light cheese and half chicken and garlic gourmet. I trusted they will do it right well disappointed they put lots of cheese on the pepperoni side. I even specified very little cheese since my son can't really eat cheese. So they put probably the normal amount. We love the pizza for sure but how come we can't get a pizza with light cheese? You can see the pictures we removed all the cheese so he...
