The restaurant is located right when you enter the zoo. As soon as we entered the zoo, my daughter said she was hungry. We immediately went into the restaurant and ordered chicken sandwich and chicken tenders. Both the entrees, they fill your plate with so much French fries. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating.
We sat outside because the weather was beautiful. They have wicker chairs with umbrellas to provide shade. Seating is limited so you'll have to wait to get seats. Outside seating is beautiful, you can see the view of an artificial waterfall, pink flamingos and the choo choo train passing by. Whenever the trains passed by, my daughter loved it. She would wave to them. The chicken tenders were a little hard. Not that many options available.
They do not provide plastic/disposable straws or lids due to their environmentally unfriendliness.

Read moreOn November 4, 2020 I had an appointment for work at 1:00 PM, Supervisor Bob Westfall interviewed me at his office, at Oakland Zoo, first he was late, then when he was interviewing me, he used to put his head down sleeping about 4 times, each time for about 3 to 4 seconds.
At one point of the interview when he was awake, he asked me what things I don't like about the job I was applying, I said: I don't like people sleeping on the job, I also report that bad behavior.

Read moreOrdered a veggie wrap, the lady have that ready under 1 min(from freezer probably) and handed me a freezing cold wrap, I asked how am I going to eat this and can you toast it or give me one at room temp, the lady said no toast and this is expected. The menu is not marked as cold wrap etc. it’s not eatable basically unless I put it under the sun for an hour. Not sure who would eat this cold wrap and enjoy it. The attitude from that lady is also bad, no understanding and don’t want to resolve the problem. No wonder ppl complaining...
