This is one of the more interesting reviews I have ever written. The food was very good. The beer was very good. The place was clean and nice. Service was very good as well. As others have mentioned, it does feel a bit clunky to have to pay (2) different businesses in one locale. That said, it isn't that different from brewers that have food trucks.

So why only 3 stars? My issue is bang-for-the-buck. These were downtown DC prices for Oakton, VA. I paid $43 for a moderately sized lunch and a flight of beer. I do tend to tip generously, and having to tip (2) different servers (one for food and one for beer) did add $1-$2 to the total. In addition, I would say the food was a little expensive for what I got. Not crazy, but a ($1-$2) high for the food and area.

The biggest issue in terms of cost was the beer. From what I recall regarding beer prices, if was mostly because I got a "flight". I think the full pour prices were a tiny bit high, but not crazy. My "flight" however cost almost $20, pre-tip. I put "flights" in quotes because looking at the receipt, I didn't actually buy a flight, I bought (4) tasters, meaning I paid the full, higher price of smaller taster glasses, even though I bought 4. Most flights in the area cost $10-$12. Other brewers charge a flight price, which is comparable to the price of a pint of beer (or a little more). If someone buys only a taster, I get it, the price will be a little higher in terms of price per ounce, but when you actually pay for a flight, I think one should get the "pint" (per...

Incredible food and a nice selection of beers! The location has a nice relaxing atmosphere too 😊 I tried the mac and cheese which was super creamy and delicious, and I also had the lentil soup which was nicely spiced! My husband had a chicken and bacon sandwich that he said was really tasty. We also shared the momos and a pretzel. I love the sauce that comes with the momos, and the pretzel was great! The beer cheese that came with the pretzel wasn't my favorite, but it also came with some spicy mustard which I did like. Even though the name of the business that does the food is the Fermented Pig, there are plenty of delicious options for vegetarians, which I really appreciated! We tried a couple of beers that were all good, but the standout one was a smoky beer which was quite unusual but tasty! Service here was great, and all the employees are super friendly.
