Dolphin Restaurant — Restaurant in Oakwood

I like to test my restaurants to see if it will be a place to frequent and this is not a place I would come back to. The food is blah, but maybe my expectations were too high. Although there are A LOT of options on the menu, it has it's limitations. For breakfast meats, there are not turkey/chicken alternatives. And the food doesn't taste like quality ingredients. This is pribably a good place for the older crowd. Some of the servers are bubbly and positive, but others are mean and nasty. I watched an interaction at the front desk that told me to NEVER go back. This server was upset with a patron for question regarding their bill. The patron was of a different nationality so I'm not sure if that apart of the server's issue, but it was completely unacceptable. She didn't really answer the patron's question so when she came back to try to understand the server lost her mind. The only reason I would maybe come back if someone begged me to would be bc of the manager, I believe, who told that server to calm down. If you can't be patient, kind and courteous you shouldn't work in ... probably any place but especially a restaurant. I know life is hard, but it's hard for everyone and you don't know what someone is going through. Do better...

We just left and it was spectacular.When we walked in,the employee Debby came in,asked us about our table,and asked if we were twins.She talked about Twinsday before sitting us at our table.Then we our server,Anne came and asked about our drinks and told us that if we needed her we can just call.

The food was delicious.I had milk,French toast with sausage links,my sister had pancakes,chocolate milk,scrambked eggs with american cheese,and sausage links,my Mom had chocolate milk,pancakes,potatoes,scrambled eggs with chedder cheese,and my grandfather had a spinach skillet,wheat toast, and coffee.Anne came with our food and drinks,easily,and asked us if we needed anything.

Anne came at perfect timing,getting coffee for my grandfather,getting water for my sister and I,and being hospitable.After my grandfather paid,Debby offered us Dum Dum Suckers at the counter.

My friend and I took our mothers and grandmothers out for this Mothers Day. Though we received great service from our server on this busy day, there were times where we would have to wait for small things such as sugar. My friends mother attempted to ask the manager for some assistance who snappingly replied “what do you want?” Towards the end of our visit, we asked if we could speak to the manager to voice our concerns about her quality of service. She not only disregarded us, but when we attempted to talk to her again she threatened to call the police and would not even let us properly file a complaint. As a manager, it was completely unacceptable behavior. I have worked in the food industry for many years at this point and regardless of whether you feel the table’s complaints are valid or not, the customer is always right and you should be respectful...
