Awful experience at this little place that promised short wait times and good, cheap food. Arrived with people waiting outside in the heat, so now my boyfriend and I are saying “It must be good”. Was told there was a 25 minute wait time, and to go outside and wait to be called, okay. Waited 20-25 minutes then went in to ask about it, and one of the hostesses said “didn’t I tell you 25 minutes?” I said “yes, about 25 minutes ago” to which she corrected me (incorrectly) saying it had been 10 minutes and it would be 20 minutes more. We ended up there about an hour in the heat, hungry and sweaty. When finally seated we were expected to know what food and drink we wanted after having the menu for about a minute. I ordered a crab omelette and it was vile. Canned, fishy, pink crab claw inside and grease running out. Told the waitress I wanted just two eggs over easy instead. The only redeeming thing about that place was our server’s promptness and kindness. She took off the price of the omelette and quickly got some eggs out to me. However, I will not be going back, the rudeness of the one hostess and the food quality is enough to tell my friends NOT...
Read moreVery hip, upbeat and cozy small breakfast nook. Service was fast and one of the owners or managers walked over an asked to remove my completed meal dishes from the table. Coffee is subjective but for me it was good, not great, not memorable but good. Disappointed in waffles. Thought they might be their own creation in taste but appeared and tasted what one would get at a self serve continental breakfast for free at a hotel. The scrapple was O.K., again tasted commercial one can buy from the supermarket. It was deep fried rather than griddle cooked. This stay was only me so the selection of food to evaluate was limited. However, based on what I had, I would assume they do not offer any dish repurpised. The service was quick but I did have to flag my waitress down to refill my coffee cup. I'm not sure I would go back as I am pretty sure they could not offer anything I...
Read moreMy favorite breakfast place I come to get each year when I vacation here. Atmosphere, is a real family vibe. Your typical “family ran diner” not sure if that’s accurate but definitely the vibe. The food. Is excellent. My go to is their famous “pipeline” with their peppered gravy. Recommend getting it half sized unless you can take on their challenge of the full sized one (which is huge) for a decent price too. Portions definitely outweigh the price. My only complaints is the staff issue. (Which isn’t even bad) it’s just if it’s busy, which usually it is, it’s a bit of a wait for everything, and they can’t tend to you as often as you may like. And the fact you can’t do split checks. So make sure to take cash for everyone In your party to pay their portion. Otherwise it becomes hectic if you’ve got one person paying cash and one person trying to...
