The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille West OC — Restaurant in Maryland

We arrived 6:15pm, told us kitchen was behind and they could finally seat us at 6:45, but then told us they weren't taking orders until after 7, which meant they were not honoring their happy hour prices posted from 4-7.

There were 2 servers in our section of about 12 tables...the other server took all of her tables orders and had them ready to enter when they gave her the ok at 7:20.

We finally had to ask if our server was taking orders well after 7pm... and mentioned that all the other tables in our section seated after us had their orders taken and now we were going in after 2- 7person tables and a 4 top.

table next to us who sat after, and ordered before us got 2 rounds of appetizers before we got our first...

We understand places are understaffed and we were very understanding...but there was no management making sure tables were served in the proper order.

Even just 1 person could have walked by and apologized for their lack of communication...instead they just blamed everything on the kitchen....

It was NOT all the kitchens fault. Waitress came out we asked about our appetizer, and said the soup is up but pretzels will be 2-3 minutes...well then can you bring the soup out? Is that common to let the soup sit out for 2-3 minutes and being put together? Especially when you know it's for a kid?

Food was mediocre...boneless wings were fine, blue cheese dressing was weird texture, chicken noodle soup had no noodles, fries were underwhelming. We were starving at this point and ate all of our food but will not be returning or recommending.

I visited the GREEN TURTLE SPORTS BAR AND GRILLE on Saturday night in April 2018. My boyfriend and I are from Memphis and were in OCMD visiting his family. They like a local band that was playing there, so we decided to go by and support them. The band was great. We enjoyed listening while chatting and having a few drinks. We ordered beer and cocktails, and shared 3 appetizers. The cocktails were good but seemed to contain very little liquor. The draft beers were as drafts should be-- cold with a nice foam--- a chilled glass might be good though. The appetizers were good-- hot and equal to those at any bar and grill around the country. Our server was excellent! Didn't catch his name, but he was attentive, courteous, and quick. Our orders came out sooner than I expected and our glasses were never empty. My one recommendation is that they try to declutter the place a bit. Maybe get rid of what seemed like temporary decorations that got left behind-- for one, there were weird 3" ribbon bows in multiple colors hanging on the pendant lights over the pool tables. We also spotted some odd contraption hanging on the wall by the men's restroom and just general clutter on the floors and hanging on walls. A good clean out would take care of those things. Just seems like management has become complacent with the place and forgets to look around with a fresh eye. Overall we had a fun night with family and would go back.

Never have been to OC WEST Green Turtle. Did a day trip to OCMD and kids wanted to eat here. So, I called beforehand to ask if they had the NHL Network , and they said they did. We got a table and we kindly requested a table with a Tv, and the waitress said if you can fit you can have it. We kindly asked for them to put the hockey game on at our table and they did. We sat down, and the host was asking the waitress why we moved tables “without saying anything”. The host and waitress seemed very rude and bothered. I just forewarned them before we sat down I do have Tourette’s to please excuse me for making noises. They came out, got our drink order (which seemed forever). We got our drinks after awhile, then came to get our order for dinner. My girlfriend got a Grilled Chicken salad , I got Nachos and the kids got off the kids menu. Her salad was wilted and the nachos were definitely burnt. Nothing great about them. About an hour later, we finished eating and the manager came over with a remote and turned the game off. I was a little confused as to why he did this, but he put on a basketball game. Our check was well over $100, and thought maybe they just wanted to get us out.. the fastest thing that came to the table was the check. Would not return to this location.
