We've traveled to and from Florida and we've had amazing service at every waffle house except today. We went in at 7pm and left at 9pm. There was only 1 table inside, already eating. The server, DANA, told us she was overwhelmed because someone called in. We were very understanding. We are 3 adults and 3 toddlers. Then a table of 2 came in and she asked if she could attend them first. We said of course no rush. DANA then takes their drinks and order. We thought she would get to us after, but then she decides to wait until their food is ready. She finally serves them their food and finally comes to attend us. At this point we've waited 30-40mins already. We were still very understanding and waited patiently. DANA finally came back and took our drink and meal order, but then she disappeared. We later see that she's outside smoking. We sat for another 30min waiting for our drinks that never came. Our food ended up coming out first and... Still no drinks. Then she forgot about the waffles and burned them. She remade them and burned them again, but this time she served them as is "Burned". By this point help has arrived and we are still being patient with her. We didn't say anything about the burned waffles. And we still didn't have our drinks. After more than 1hr we finally get our drinks. We were still missing 3 more waffles, but she ended up getting distracted attending another table. We had to remind Dana to please check the waffles before they burned yet again. Once she checked on them and served them they were indeed burned. We again didn't say anything, but then as we were cutting up the waffles for our toddlers we decided they indeed were too burned for our little ones. Dana never came back to check on us so we had to ask the cook if he could replace all waffles please. We apologized for the inconvenience and he helpfully and happily got us new waffles without a problem. He turned on the waffle timer and made us fresh waffles. I forgot his name but he was awesome. Dana also gave us a bacon sandwich instead of ham like we had asked. We told him he didn't have to remake the sandwich just ham would be fine. He brought it out right away. At this point she hasn't looked at us or checked on us. She was literally right in front of us when we simply asked for coffee in the most polite way. She ignored us 3 times and looked at us. She turned to get the coffee and whispered "he's rude". We weren't trying to be rude at all. All we were asking for was coffee and she completely ignored us as we were right in front of her. After all the patience we had with her she literally gave up on us when we literally gave her countless chances. Instead of giving us good service she would rather make rude comments about us & chat w/ a couple who got there after. We just wanted a good experience as expected from waffle house.    Read moreThis is the waffle house USED to be the best, especially for someone like me with an eating disorder. Until they insisted the wrong food given to me was right multiple times and wouldn't take it off my order. I asked the new little girlie pop kiddo there THREE times if they could remake it, but each time she insisted the food was right and ignored my request. Then she got mad when I asked for the check to just pay for the orange juices I drank. I touched none of the food on the plate and she seemed very upset. Well, maybe the food shouldve been taken off or remade like I requested. Especially when I explained I have an eating disorder. I used to come here 3 to 4 times a week and was a very loyal customer. Not any more. Just take the food off if someone asks for it. Quit insisting its right when it isnt. "The customer is always right when it comes to taste." This is food. I know what I want and what isn't right when I get it at EVERY SINGLE WAFFLE...
   Read moreWorst experience ever. The woman seemed high as a kite. She kept putting her hand in front of my face when she was putting down silverware. She didn't speak, at all, not once. She said "do tall want drinks?" So we placed our drink order and she said, "well, do you know what you want to eat??" So we placed our dinner order as well. After 15 minutes of sitting, we still didn't have our drinks and even the COOK was asking what our order was because she never placed it!!! When the cook asked what we were having the server had an attitude and told her to "HOLD ON" because she was trying to write up a ticket.....the whole experience was ridiculous. This is the second night shift review I have had to write. The morning crew is amazing! And super props to the COOK for having us better than...
