I placed my online order with the Door Dash App on my Apple IPhone XR on Friday, April 28, 2023 but my order for these Assorted Donuts was delivered to me at 4:40 a.m. today by Nathaniel my Dasher driver. I ordered a total of 7 Donuts. One Strawberry and cream cheese Croissant. The price was $3.85. Two Chocolate Cake with Blue Sprinkles Donuts. The total price was $3.18. Two Cherry Frosted Plain Cake Donuts. The total price was $3.18. Two Coconut Flakes Vanilla Frosting Cake Donuts. The price was $3.18. The subtotal was $12.85. The delivery fee was Free because I am a Door Dash Member. My total bill was $13.85. The best nuts and bolts donut shop in San Diego County. Hands down. The eating experience is very clean - no weird, greasy mouth film post-donut. The donuts are light without being dried out. There is a mastery and precision here that you won’t find at other Southern CA mom and pop donut outfits.

I grew up down the street but this isn’t a nostalgia-based bias. I’ve tried them all but I keep going back to the glazed twist. Simple is often the hardest thing to nail and they hit it out of the park. The cruller is available on a limited schedule and is supreme. Perfectly moist, almost custard-like.

This place needs to get with the times. They still have an ATM machine inside their store and only accept cash. The ice cream lady that travels in her ice cream truck takes credit cards/debt cards. The entire world takes debt except for this place. Every other donut shop in America takes debt cards, but not these people. They have no idea how more much money they would make if they actually took debt cards. Stop making me and others pay 3$ in fees just to eat your donuts.
