Two Brothers From Italy Pizza — Restaurant in Oceanside

We came to Two Brothers Pizza before our escape room since it’s located in the same complex. With not many options nearby, and because we usually like to check out local pizza spots when traveling, we decided to give it a try. We were a bit pressed for time, but the gentleman at the counter was upfront and let us know that calzones would only take 10–15 minutes, which fit our schedule perfectly. We ordered one Veggie Calzone and one Chicken Calzone with grilled chicken. The serving sizes were very large, easily enough for two people to share. However, once we cut into them, it became clear that the bulk of the portion was dough. Another odd detail was that the marinara sauce came on the side instead of inside the calzone, which made the filling feel dry and disconnected from the dish. As for flavor, both calzones fell short. The veggie one lacked seasoning and tasted flat, while the chicken version didn’t have much taste beyond the grilled chicken itself. The dough also leaned more on the bland side, so overall, it felt like we were eating bread with a few fillings rather than a flavorful calzone. Since we were mainly looking for a quick bite before our activity, we ate about half of each and decided not to take the rest with us. While the service was polite and the food did come out quickly as promised, the calzones themselves were underwhelming. I had the pleasure of checking into my resort in Orlando. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by their flyer. We don’t usually question as it’s relatively easy to make, so finding decent is not hard. Anyway, we decided to order the 3 pie special and had it delivered. The pizza actually came faster than the promised 30 minutes. We opened the pies and started to indulge but notice black string which actually turned out to be hair. It wasn’t just one but several in our pepperoni pie. Being that I manage multiple locations in my line of work, I understand that by calling and reporting the issue would have a quick fix with either a credit or even a simple apology. I called and had to explain myself and then I was asked to send pictures. I have no reason to lie but went all and did as I was asked. I sent the pictures to 2 different requested numbers and didn’t even get upset which is my normal reaction to such poor service. I was then asked if I wanted another pie and I refused as my kids no longer wanted pizza from this establishment. He then texted me back after receding my pics and said he would get back to me. This is ridiculous and you have ruined it for every other small pizza joints out there as this will never be my action of using a small pizza joint again. And just, so you are aware; I didn’t even receive a simple apology yet. Horrible service...

Quality went down. Went home excited to share this sandwich with my wife. We got this sandwich many times. This was burnt and dry. Called in to let them know. That was disappointing as well. Girl, on the phone, talk to Chief. He said it wasn't burnt to her. She tried to say it was because they were cooked in oven. I explained how I have been getting this sandwich for 8 yrs and never had it like this. So reluctant to replace or do anything. So, I'm leaving this review to share my experience since they didn't want to handle it. She said that after a while, reluctantly, if I wanted to bring it in, they would replace it. But the tone and way chief was I'm not trusting to go back. $23 sandwich is over a hr pay in this min wage economy. So do better, please. This is people's hard earned money you are working with.
