Angel Tacos — Restaurant in Odessa

On my husband’s recommendation, I just tried this place. I had a lengthy wait (although not at all busy) at the drive-thru, but I kept an open mind since I ordered 2 lunch plates and it was only 10:30. I ordered a chicken enchilada plate with green sauce and a beef enchilada plate with red sauce. I tried the chicken first. With my first bite, I knew something was wrong with what I had just put in my mouth and spat it out. What it was, was several sections of a tiny spine of a mystery animal (God, I hope it was chicken!). Eating the rest now completely out of the question, I explored the enchilada further to find the contents to be a mixture of some dark mystery meat and a lot more spinal column! Obviously, that plate went into the trash. Then the beef. I dissected the enchilada first. Upon inspection, the contents looked pretty dry and it did look and smell like beef. The lettuce and tomatoes smelled like an ashtray. I DID brave up enough to taste the rice (VERY bland, but not stuck together!) and the beans (ok, but too heavy on the bacon grease). This place is very "touch & go". The food is inconsistent. Just because you order a meat, potato & cheese burrito today, doesn't mean you will get the same meat, potato and cheese burrito tomorrow. The ladies are rude more often than not. We go here regularly (I work in the shopping center behind them). They regularly get our order wrong or completely leave an item out. The tortillas are soft and fluffy one day & rubbery the next. Sometimes the taco meat is dripping with grease, sometimes it's not. I honestly only continue going because I sometimes work alone and cannot leave for very long to get lunch & as I diabetic, I dont have the option to skip lunch. Bringing lunch usually doesn't work out well either(I groom dogs, food brought in gets...

I used to come here to get burritos often because it's close to my house and the asado burritos were always pretty good and fairly sized. Today I sent my wife to get me 2 burritos and what she brought me to work were these 2 skinny looking starving burritos with hardly any filling. I called and asked my wife why she paid for these. She said the worker told her they raised their prices. What does raising prices have to do with serving your customers a tortilla with a baby spoon size of filling? .....DEFINITELY our last time to come to this place.
