Golden Chick — Restaurant in Odessa

I came this evening and asked for a 6 piece combo with large fries and no drink. She said I could substitute the drink for another side. I said great extra fries please. I told them I didn’t mind to wait tfor some fresh spicy tenders, she said some just came up and were fresh. Okay, great. Then my baby started crying. I pulled up, paid, and waited almost ten minutes with a screaming baby in the car. I got home, received one medium fries, one SMALL fries, and EVERYTHING WAS COLD AND HARD. Mind you I live less than 10 min away. They got rid of the sweet and sour sauce and this place is just plain garbage.

I’m tired of spending $20-30 to eat here and it’s never fresh. Frustrated and disappointed to say the least. Stop lying to your customers, and train your staff to not drink their sodas by the window. As a previous restaurant manager, this is a violation of hygiene near customers food and looks extremely unprofessional. Also, THERE WAS A HAIR IN MY HONEY MUSTARD. I’m not going to return. My friend and I just dined here, it was my FIRST AND LAST time. I ordered the 4pc fish dinner, the fish is very small. I asked to swap for the tenders instead, well that became an act of Congress. 10 minutes later, I was FINALLY refunded and paid for my tender dinner. I childish immature young men employees started talking amongst themselves and rolling their eyes at me. The entire situation was very unprofessional and rude. I witnessed a employee drop a tong on the floor, put it back on the counter near the food then he walked off . 2 times I stated to 2 separate employees that the tongs need to go in the dish water but i was ignored. The third time I stated "the tongs need to go in the dishwater before someone use's them on someone's food". Their job is more of a joke to them instead of a professional work environment. Came to Golden Chick hoping to get the same quality service I've always gotten from their locations. Instead, my experience was less than satisfactory. I ordered a 16 piece tender meal, with another single meal, extra drink and rolls. When I got home, I opened the bags and began to experience disappointment. The fries were cold, and a very small portion. Like, meal-sized fries, but they were supposed to be family sized. They forgot a drink, and also no Zing sauce, after I specifically asked for it. The chicken tenders looked like fried chicken SLIVERS. These days, restaurants seem to draw in customers with great service and quality food....for about a month or two.
