The Shrimp Boat — Restaurant in Odessa

Sunday brunch was a horrible experience. I ordered an omelette and my two daughters ordered waffles. When we went to the buffet we found that there were no eggs, the biscuits were rock hard, the gravy was runny, the bacon was burnt, and the sausage links looked raw.

I was brought a bill for $83 for an adult and two children. There was no signage explaining the pricing of the Sunday buffet. When I tried to talk to the manager Yvonne she was extremely rude and condescending. I simply asked to be charged the menu price for the only edible part of what we had been served which would have been about $35. She refused and essentially accused me of theft by saying that she couldn’t expect her waitress to know what I had eaten.

It has been years since I’ve been in the place and based on today's experience, it’ll be even longer...

Took my wife to eat at the Shrimp Boat. It was 8pm, there was still two hours before they closed. I ordered the blackened catfish with double veggies. My wife got a burger and fries. Our server was good, he kept my glass full, and came by the table to check on us periodically.. The food how ever was sub par. The double veggies were cold when my plate came out, and the double veggies were a couple carrots, a couple pieces of broccoli, three yellow squash, three zucchini, not even a double portion. Not the servers fault, the kitchens fault. They should know better than to put out cold food. And if they don’t have enough for one portion, have the server come back out and let the customer know the other options. Horrible management i went for a meal with a couple of my buddies while waiting for our food we can over hear an employee complain and make racial slurs about an African American customer, we also heard her speaking to her employees in a disrespectful manner she has no level of respect for any of her coworkers/ other employees. Her apron Had a name of ivette on it i asked another employee who their manager was and they stated that it was her . We came to enjoy a meal felt very unpleasant because of the way she was speaking/treating the other employees and the racial comments she made , She obviously does not care who hears whats she says if i could have heard her from my table. As a business owner myself i feel She and all of her superiors need to be held accountable as this is very unacceptable and...
