El Campero — Restaurant in Ohio

We’ve gone many times and after awhile we kept getting bad service the waiter dumped a margarita in my purse... and didn’t apologize ok so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned still always messed up our order not even a hard order just tacos off the menu maybe a few sides queso and pico de Gallo things like that well this last visit tonight is our last the waiter took our orders (we had a table of 8) not somewhere you should put a newbie, but they did then we waited for our queso over 20 minutes and had to ask again til we finally got it then the food came, well some of it out of 8 plates they brought out 6 were wrong so we waited finally brought out two more tacos and they were wrong so we waited it’s now been over an hour and people have came and left. We asked multiple staff for help requested a new waiter that didn’t happen so we waited until finally got all our food, mine was a chicken taco no special requests and it was cold, my daughters two chicken tacos cold, my son in-laws beef tacos cold my other daughter didn’t get her tacos so she waited even longer, now at the end they did make it better by taking some off of the bills to compensate but that still doesn’t help that we went for a nice dinner with friends and family and the waiter did not let that happen someone need to train the wait staff more thoroughly he had no idea what we ordered and we had to remind him multiple times I’m sorry because this is a family business and I’m all for small businesses I wish this didn’t happen but we tried time and time again maybe...

I came in alone and stood at the front of the line to be seated. A party of six came in behind me and was seated before me even though there were plenty of open tables. They looked at me funny and I said could I have a table for one. I was then quickly seated. Waiter came and took my drink order but brought no water. I ordered right away with my drink. Nachos. Pretty simple. I waited and waited. Table of 7 started receiving their food before I got my nachos. Finally got my nachos and wondered where the nacho cheese was. I had to dig down through the chips to find a thin, watery layer of white cheese on the bottom of my plate. I asked the waiter for some extra cheese. By the time My Cheese came I was done eating and asked for it to go box. The nachos were $9.25. They charged me $4.50 for a Ramekin of extra cheese! When I talk to the manager on duty about this she was rude and said she had to charge the going rate. She charged me for a serving of queso. I did not receive that much cheese. Probably half that much. I asked her if there's anything you could do since that was 50% of what I paid for the entire generous plate of nachos. She rudely said no. In addition to my experience the restaurant is run down and dirty. However they were very busy. I assume the only Mexican restaurant in this area. I'm from out of town. Be warned if you go there. Being from Texas the nachos were subpar but acceptable except for the extra charge that I had to pay to get a decent amount of queso...

The drinks here are very good but the wait and food were bad.

Our party of 7 sat at the table for approximately 20 minutes before I got up and informed the hostess at the front that no one had come to our table to take our order. A couple of minutes after that, Caesar came.

We placed our orders and the food took over 40 minutes to come out. Some of my party was ready to leave because it was taking too long. Once the food came out it continued to go bag because the food was lukewarm and bland. I ordered a shrimp soft taco and a grilled chicken soft taco. Both had an abundance of shredded cheese on them and no sauce. The rice was dry and the beans lacked seasoning and flavor.

My partner ordered three beef tacos and three fish tacos. His tacos were cold and no flavor.
