Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium — Local services in Canton

Big complex, but no one takes care of the covered stands. There's tons of bird poop in the majority of the covered seating area. There's also a tick problem there. One child found a tick under his shirt on his chest and thought it was a rubber turf, but it was itchy after removing it. Another found a tick while in the car. I had to layer my stuff on the black pavement with my white hat on top of my bag to go to the restroom and when I came back there was a tick crawling on my hat. Three other moms got ticks on them, noticed it in the stands or walked to the car to grab something. Definitely bring your insect repellent spray...

This was a AA stadium from the 1980s and 1990s. I saw the former Canton-Akron Indians play here many times, and it was a great experience. It was great because it was a minor league stadium for baseball fans. Which is to say that it was a no frills stadium that still provided a great experience.
