My daughter and I decided to try this bar & grill. We went on a Tuesday around 4:30 pm and we're surprised they were somewhat busy already. I had prime rib, which comes with 2 sides. I chose onion rings and coleslaw. She had a half slab of ribs, mashed potatoes with gravy, and brussel sprouts. My steak was excellent, flavorful and cooked to order, onion rings were big and crisp, coleslaw was ok. My daughter enjoyed the ribs, which did appear to be char-grilled, she liked the gravy a lot, but had to ask the sprouts be reheated as they were cold. We got carrot cake to take home, the cake was spicy, it didn't have any nuts, raisins or pineapple (which is fine). The icing though was not the traditional cream cheese icing; it almost seemed like whipped cream icing. That was odd on the cake. All in all, the food was very good, reasonably priced, service is good, place looked clean. I will definitely return to try more items. (I apologize I ate most of my food before I remembered to take a picture.)

Nice little local bar and grill. Seated ourselves and the server came promptly. The menu choices were vast. Got onion rings for appetizers. The onion rings were not bad but a little greasy and could have been cooked a little longer. The fried chicken special was great. They were out of something to make the Cuban, so I went with the reuben. It was a good second choice. Tater tots were just fine. Chili was hearty. Overall, nice place and service was great.

First time eating here and I came away disappointed. My wife said her Chicken Salad and Fries were good. I got Perch Tacos and I would never get them again. Pickled Red Onions DO NOT belong on Perch, they were almost inedible. Service was excellent at a very busy time. Plenty of convenient parking.

So let me begin their review by saying this used to be one of my favorite places. I’m a Sylvania native but come visit the folks from Columbus. From December 2022 to the present we’d often go there when I’d come up and I loved the food every single time. The specials were always good, steaks always cooked to the proper temp, crispy fries, excellent soups, the list goes on. I usually tired something different each time and can honestly say I ‘never’ had a bad meal.

Until tonight. My folks told me that ever since the patio opened the quality of the food has gone down, so much so that their usual weekly visits became less and less frequent. But I wanted to hit up my favorite place when I had the chance to come home. All I can say was I was very disappointed. My father and I both ordered the prime rib which was bland, fatty, under-seasoned, and screamed for an au jus or gravy. We both got French fries which were barely cooked through and greasy. My mother order the pulled pork special which was greasy and sweet potato fries which were floppy and soaked through with grease, and my son got the burger kids meal and the patties were essentially hockey pucks. I dont know if the kitchen staff has changed, if there’s a different chef, or if the staff just can’t handle the extra orders from the patio, but I’d love if the owner reassessed, retrained, or otherwise reads this review and makes some changes. We were all very disappointed tonight, and honestly don’t know if we’ll be back anytime soon. It went from one of the most perfectly consistent restaurants to one we can’t count on to cook fries properly, and that’s...

I went here last night on a date. Neither of us had eaten here before and it was recommended as an “underrated” place to eat. The environment… well it’s attached to a gas station but there is plenty of parking. Had a dingy diner vibe. It was raining and chilly but the patio was a mess and an eye-sore while you walk in. The food was ok… my green beans were rubbery and you can tell most things are from a can or frozen. We both ordered walleye and both pulled several bones from the fish… it happens… I get it. I was underwhelmed from the food. We finished our dinner about 30 mins prior to closing time but we sat talking and had each ordered a second drink to enjoy - we both have kids so we wanted to spend every second we could together. A server, who was not our waitress (didn’t catch her name but she was wearing red and had tattoos)… I saw her checking her watch and glancing at us and then attempted to grab my wine glass that still had wine in it! We had already paid but just wanted to finish our drinks. Then 5 mins before close she yelled over to our table from across the room “we’re closing” and asked us to leave! I was flabbergasted by how rude she was. Will not...

Came in over the weekend with my family. Dad opted for first available. Which was the bar area inside. We were so packed in like sardines. I could barely sit properly at the table because of the 2 tables by us. Had the lady behind me knocking into me every now and then (she said sorry) and it was just uncomfortable. I ordered a bowl of French Onion Soup, my favorite. Grew up eating since I was a kid. Either they didn't have the right amount of cheese or they left it in to long... cheese came out brown and toasty. Not how I am used to. Broth wasn't bad, it's just the cheese not being gooey and stringy is what I think makes it. That didn't happen, no peeling off the cheese on the side of the bowl, no seeing the cheese pull... nothing but fighting with burnt cheese and trying to keep a smile on my face as I was with family. They were happy with their food, but that was such a disappointment for me. First time there and it will be my last sadly. Between the soup and the being packed in like that. Especially on a hot day! The ice in my tea...
