Horst Sandwich Co. — Restaurant in Ohio

Went here for the first time. Was told how good it was.. everything looked great. Ended up getting couple bear claws which were great and ordered a LG Hawaiian pizza which ate over 3 days was only $17 and loved the crust and was very good. Also love how they had 7 fountain drinks machines filled with all kinds of juice flavored drinks and even green tea. Had an ice cream counter also. There was a deli with great cheese and meats. All very good priced. There was also a sub sandwich counter where they made you fresh subs any bread and cheese and meats you like. Foot longs was avg 7-9$ which was 10 times better than any subway sandwich...highly recommend go get lunch or take home a fresh pizza and the freezer had take home bake ones also...they also make made to...

I didn't understand the hype of this place until I finally went.

The photos of the subs look very average. The interior, the same. The meat and ingredients look like the same old cold cuts and lettuce found anywhere.

But, once the sandwich is assembled, oh my god.

Been there twice and blown away both times. Had the small Italian sub on each visit. Once on Italian bread, the other sourdough. The sourdough is unbelievable.

Rocky road ice cream was a delicious, premium blend.

One bad: Had a slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was forgettable. Stick...

This place is great! We stumbled across by accident. We like their hand scoop ice cream. The donuts (the good kind, cream sticks and stuff) look fresh AND pizza (they also freeze and sell which is awesome).

The subs are great too. the only reason I rated them at 4 stars is because in my opinion you must eat your sandwich immediately. We tried taking them home and they changed badly. We're usually to go kind of people but when we visit here we take 15 minutes to sit and enjoy.

Maybe the key is to get a cold sandwich then take it home and heat it...
