I have only recently been to this establishment as a passenger in a car going through the drive thru. I haven't spent a dime here in about a year and a half, about 3 months before that I avoided this place for about a year.
The service is the absolute worst. You will wait in line for no reason except excruciatingly slow staff. Despite lines of cars wrapping completely around the building and a dozen or more customers standing at the counter, I have never once witnessed any sense of urgency whatsoever. Well, that is almost true, the food looks like it was slapped together pretty quick when you unwrap it. This is a small town McDonald's, so it's not as if they are insanely busy. They are just remarkably slow, so lines pile up. Even the simplest of orders in the drive thru will result in you being asked to park and wait. An employee having to walk your food to the parking lot instead of serving customers as they come, this is just one sign of their inefficiency. Another would be while you are actually at the pick-up window (before they tell you to park-it) looking into the prep area wondering what is taking so long. You will see no fewer than 3 employees just standing around doing nothing. Apparently each employee has just one task, and only that one task. They just can't be bothered to even consider doing anything else to help speed things up when there is a massive line of customers...
And why should they. I tried going in to the store a while back, thinking I might be able to get my food in under a half hour if I avoided the drive thru (spoiler: I was wrong)... As I stood there waiting in a line that hadn't moved in 5 minutes, I was listening to a young manager talking loudly to some people he must have known. These people were standing at the counter, and the manager was talking like there was nobody else in the restaurant. His topic of conversation made it worse, he was bragging about how much paid vacation he gets and where he went on his last trip and where he is going on his next trip... Right in front of his employees who probably get NO vacation...
So if this manager has no problem holding up the line to be a jerk, why would any of the employees do anything differently?
From management down, this place is poorly ran and infuriating to witness. I am not only avoiding this McDonald's this time, I am avoiding ALL McDonald's. This has shown me that they allow this sort of "service" or else something would have changed by now.
There need to be 2 out of 3 reasons to visit a fast food restaurant. Good, Cheap, Fast... pick any two, and Fast food is sometime worth it... This place isn't really any of those things... Though it can be cheap theoretically, once you get home and realize you waited 45 minutes for them to screw up your order on top of everything else, you have spent enough for food, time, and gas to eat at Longhorn instead.
Avoid this place like the plague. You will get your food faster driving to the next...
Read moreI don't have a complaint with the food, the commissary does a good job of crafting their product. I'm just really tired of pulling up to the order screen, only to be told "The ice cream machine is busted", or "Sorry, we don't have the Minute Maid Slushie stuff" (even though it's been on the sign for 6 weeks). And then having to pay restaurant prices for what's supposed to be cheap and fast. So, git yer s* together, managers. A lot of people eat somewhere else because McD's doesn't work anymore.
Addendum. The milkshake machine still doesn't work. Give it up, Mickey. We're all tired of the uncertainty of rolling in from a long drive and being told "Sorry sir, it's not working." I can count the number of times that's happened on the fingers of the 3-toed sloth. And I chose the animal with, as they say, "malice aforethought".
To corporate; don't think we haven't noticed - the price of your product is not commensurate with its value, and has increased beyond similar delivered restaurant prepared food. A poll of my sphere of influence was nearly united in this; specifically McDonald's was a last-resort choice due to food price and preparation quality. Specials were ignored almost universally as meaningless. The food itself was rated...
Read moreI live locally and went out of my way to support this local business. I was there at 7:45 am on a sunday morning. I used the kiosk to order my food, which I hate by the way, then I went to the counter to pay and get my food. I waited at the counter for 10 minutes with no one else in line. There was a lady working the drive thru that was more interested in the drive thru than the dining room customers. She that looked at me a couple of times but made no attempt to wait on me. I finally asked if I could be waited on and she told me that there was only one of her and I would have to wait. When she finally came to the counter she repeated her comment that there was only one of her and she was busy. I told there was only one of me and if she didnt want my money then I could leave. She said that it was up to me if I stayed or not, she didnt care. I wadded up my ticket and left it on the counter and walked out. She needs to realize that shes in a customer...
