I am leaving a one star review because Zero is not an option. Our family visited on a Sunday morning Because of this we understood that our larger party was unable to sit together. However, no attempt was made to put tables together where there clearly was room to do so. We had many issues with our visit: the extensive time it took to receive our meals, incorrect orders, the biscuits were not cooked completely, eggs were cold, and one of our family members had potatoes with large black rotten areas in the middle. The true issue is how the staff handled the problems. After waiting over 40 min. Half of our family received thier meal. Leaving half of us waiting longer than 20min. And they were still missing two meals! We went so far as to cancel the remaining meals as the rest of the family had finished their breakfast. Interestingly enough once we told our waitress not to bring out the last two meals suddenly they were finished. During this time three other parties (one a larger party of 8) were seated, ordered their meals and received it before all of our food was delivered. Instead of a manager addressing the very clear issue, we had to ask to speak to them. When the manager came out, instead of apologizing he told us it was a Sunday and we should expect mistakes in service! He begrudgingly gave us a 25% discount. We completely understand that mistakes happen and if it had been addressed when the mistake was made a bad review and bad service could have been avoided. After seeing how this restaurant handled just the timing issues of our meal we didn't bother addressing the quality of food. We already knew the manager's approach to problem solving...It...
Read moreGave it three tries but still just so-so. Food is ok but most portions I had all three times were not very big for the price. Two out of three times they were pretty sad. We had to ask if the salad received was the ordered full or the half by mistake.
The biggest issues in all three visits was the service. I like coffee and I like refills. All three times it was a chore to get a refill. All three times the wait staff only stopped by to our order and to drop off the bill. I placed the cup near the edge of the table for a refill and no luck.
And twice the place was only about 30% full with 3 wait staff working so I can't give a pass because they were swamped or anything. The same for the other visit with family as far as service and refills. We had to flag down staff on a not really busy day for coffee, pop and water.
I get it if your going to be a pain for free water, but for the price I pay for the other I expect a few refills. Take a hint from Cafe Marie and leave a carafe, or like Cracker Barrel and have bigger mugs or even like the Executive Diner or The Original and have attentive wait staff that checks back with the coffee in hand not just stopping by once in a while without coffee in hand.
It might seem like a small thing but Nick's and Smucker's get it right so follow their example. It gets two stars because the place was cool looking and no complaints on cleanliness. But I think 3 strikes...
Read moreToday was my second time being there to place a to go order (I was working in the area). I ordered an egg burrito each time because it's easier to eat and drive.
The 1st time I was there, the card reader was down. The lady whom took my order, passed my order on to the kitchen despite the multiple (failed) attempts to get the card reader to work. She recognized that my time was valuable. I only had $12 in cash, and felt bad about not being able to tip.
Today, the lady whom took my order discounted my order due to the menu price included meat and there was no non-meat price.
I love the large chunk potatoes and find the egg veggie burrito incredibly delicious!
Everytime I have been here, every employee has been friendly and welcoming! Even the ones that did not interact with me still have a friendly face when our eyes meet. The place has always been clean and inviting. I never felt forgotten or like a chore to the employees.
I work in the area few and far between but I MUST stop...
