Terribly disappointed with our experience at the inn especially for how much money was spent. Not worth the money. My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for a quick getaway and our experience was ruined almost immediately. We stayed in one of the honeycombs and upon our arrival to the room, I immediately went to go out onto the patio and found the door would not open. Not only would it not open but the wooden frame was very visibly broken on the door, something I was shocked that housekeeping actually just left for us to find. If the room had been cleaned properly then the visibly broken door should have been noticed. After calling the front desk, we eventually had a maintenance man arrive that broke the door even further and told us it would not be a quick fix. After spending an hour and a half dealing with the door, I finally told the maintenance guy to leave because I did not go there to spend it with him. He said it would take a long time to fix and they had no other room to move us to. I want to make it quite clear that the only reason I asked him to leave is because he was very chatty and I was trying to relax with my boyfriend, not hang out with the maintenance man. Highly annoyed. On top of that our shower was also broken in the room. Clogged and wouldn’t drain. After complaining twice to the front desk, we were told the director of guest services would be calling us to discuss the matter. We waited three days with no call. My boyfriend finally ended up having to call them back just to talk to someone. We were offered a $100 gift card but we have no desire to ever visit again. Finally offered a 20% return onto our card but honestly disappointed in that. I was terribly saddened by our experience since we had heard good things about this inn but our experience didn’t come close to that. The views out the honeycomb are also nothing to write home about. It’s made to look much more magical on the website. The only reason I’m even giving two stars is that the food in the restaurant was good, but again quite overpriced for...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner reservations for our 5 year anniversary. Upon entering the front door and walking towards the restaurant door you walk through a store with cute little nick knacks and various glass pieces for sale. We really loved the OSU football throw pillow for sale, just not for $219. That really set the tone in terms of prices for the evening. The hostess was wonderful. She was very sweet and interested in us as a couple. Our waitress was also wonderful. She had a great personality and really involved herself in conversation with us. The views from the restaurant are gorgeous. You are literally sitting right in the middle of nature so there are plenty of beautiful things to see while eating. We were disappointed in the menu right off the bat. It is broken down into three courses and the options are few. My husband got the steak and I got the pork chop. Although they were both delicious, we were unimpressed with the quality to the price point. We are both in our 40's and felt this restaurant is definitely geared towards a much older crowd. As it was our anniversary we made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves but we do not recommend it mostly due to the prices. The choices for a nice romantic dinner in the area are few, which is probably why this place receives so much business. Save your money and try some place else if your looking for a reasonably priced menu with delicious food for a...
Read moreWhile we did not stay at the resort, we wanted a romantic dinner for our Valentine's Anniversary & Tarragon did not disappoint! We were greeted by our wonderful server, Jordan, who took such great care of us all night. We started off with the homemade bread & tomato butter with freshly grated cheese...delicious. Our appetizers were the Duck leg confit & the Potato parmesan gnocchi....sublime! Then followed by an unctuous Mushroom & brie soup and I had the Caramelized onion(Vidalia) soup with a cheddar tuile....mmmmm! Then our entrée: a pan seared venison with cranberry compote & a "cab" ribeye....the meats were so tender, like butter! To finish off our evening(bring your appetite) we devoured the Vanilla bean creme brulee! Chef's kiss!! Wow! We are definitely coming back & this time, we're staying on the...
