Nice people there but poor service. Live locally & have been there many times. Tonight was poor (& that's being kind.) Taco shells old & over cooked...brown. arrived cold. Then no drinks. Had hot sauce on tacos so couldn't eat going whole meal waiting for drink refill. Asked for salsa 3x along w/ kindly asking for drinks. No one ever checked on us. Tacos sat waiting for drinks-stone cold & unedible. No offer to replace the one & half taco left & cold while no drinks made for entire meal for either of us. Poor quality...we have eaten here & come back before but it's degraded substabtially. No one cared. Service was abyssmal. The 2 ☆'s is generous & reflects the nice motherly lady who seats people & the waiter who just was overwhelmed & failed- totally ignoring empty drink glasses as well as never checking nor bringing salsa in 1 hr while we sat. Sadly, saying something to the staff as we left showed the true reason why this place is not as good any longer-they just don't care much. Two yrs ago the place was pleasant. I hope they realize the things they could do better & wish them good luck. It's hard in the food business but that's why it's important to care...important to just be kind when your food & service is bad-your mistake or failure makes for a miserable meal . That's what happened here. A customer for yrs left & had to eat elsewhere due to no drinks, service & cold, poorly made basic tacos that are super easy to get right. Advice: care about your customers...the two of us cared about your business & came to enjoy a meal but experience...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this place but we won't be back. We went yesterday (Saturday) First, the food was so so bland...about the only thing that had good taste was the salsa that came with the free chips. I ordered my daughter Mac and cheese and at first glance was happy that it didn't look like the boxes kraft that most places use. She took one bite and said it didn't taste good, so I tasted it....as soon as it hit my mouth it tasted like soured dairy...it was so disgusting and instantly upset my stomach. I got an asada taco and a Birria taco. Only flavor came from the cilantro and onion on both...oh and of course the salsa I added to them. The birria consume had 0 flavor other than oil and the cilantro on top of it. Hubby got the quesidilla and again no flavor other than bland beef. I just don't understand how you can get bland Mexican food. This place used to be our favorite. I will say though that our waitress was nice and did her thing....but the...
Read moreI read the negative reviews here and shrugged them off. We had a busy day and decided to get carryout for our family. We waited months for this place to open and finally decided to get a taste. To put it simply, the price was high, the portions were small, and the overall quality of the food was below average. Enchiladas were dry with no cheese or enchilada sauce, fajitas were sparse and lacking in flavor. One order was supposed to have double rice in lieu of beans, but it didn't even have a standard amount of rice, let alone double. On top of all that, my jaw hit the floor when I found out the price of the order (25 - 35% more than competing restaurants like El Rincon and El Campasino).
I was so excited to have an authentic Mexican restaurant close to where we live, probably eating there every couple of weeks or so, but next time I want Mexican food, I'll be driving across town to a different establishment with better food and...
