Cannot express from start to finish our dining experience was fantastic. Even on a busy night, that was fully booked! (Highly recommend booking a reservation they were busy!) As a parent, it’s hard to take your children to a place and get upscale dining at a fair price point..while hoping they can accommodate the children too. The Bistro took care of all of us so well! (The servers even playfully interacted with my very rambunctious boy!!) my daughter loves coming in and getting the Buckeye pie!

The service was outstanding, the coloring pages had tic-tac-toe, and all sorts of puzzles, and gave the kids something to do while waiting for our food on the busy night. The bread and oil is a hit! The kids menu is sufficient for meeting children’s pallets. Mine, love the Mac and cheese, the pizza, and the pasta with butter sauce. I love the filet’s and the mushroom rosemary chicken. We order the fried green tomatoes, shrimp cocktail, and the mussels frequently! I have food allergies and they take into consideration all of them. No reactions!!

I cant recommend Bistro of Oakwood enough. From being greeted and taken to our table, the service staff, and the amazing food we ate..it was outstanding! Thank you Bistro for making my family...

Service at Oakwood Bistro left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant's relatively low patronage, it took an excessive 20-25 minutes to receive our initial drinks. The lack of attention to this delay from both the staff and management was concerning. Our server, while enthusiastic, displayed his inexperience, leading to a rushed and somewhat chaotic atmosphere. Although he worked hard, the service lacked the efficiency that one would expect, especially given the restaurant's pricing.

Moreover, the absence of visible management raised questions about the overall organization of the establishment. My order, a chicken Caesar salad, arrived with both the lettuce and chicken at an undesirable lukewarm temperature, indicating a lack of attention to food quality and presentation. Considering the premium prices charged, I anticipated a higher standard of service and culinary experience.

In comparison to other dining options in the area offering better value for money, Oakwood Bistro fell short of expectations. As someone who values their hard-earned money, this experience was disappointing and made me question the decision to dine there. Let me say this, I like my steak and my wife likes her scallops (we like each equally as well) and this place does not disappoint!!! The ribeye is well tenderized and seasoned to create a cohesive array of flavor while preserving the texture and taste of the steak. Medium rare is evenly cooked with the meat holding a consistent doneness but the marbling / fat being crisp and cooked. Now, we've had our scallops coast to coast to coast, and being in Ohio we keep an eye out for places that rival coastal delicacy of a scallop dish, and the Bistro of Oakwood delivers! Evenly cooked with a firm, flavorful sear, little to no sand, good size and quantity and juicy with flavor, I certainly recommend if you're a seeker of scallop dishes in the Midwest!!! Lobster ravioli is also worth mentioning, especially as an appetizer option for a quick precursor to a delicious entree! The staff is tentative, polite and very welcoming.
