Burger King — Restaurant in Okawville

Hours said open until midnight. We stopped after a basketball game at 8:30 on 1/12/2017 and they were out of Whopper Burger patties and their grill was either broken or malfunctioning. That, in itself isn't the reason for the 1 star rating.

First, the manager was very unprofessional. Her cook in the back called her name and informed her that they only had 1 Whopper Patty left. She complained out loud to me and my son, "I can't stand him. He always does this!" The girl working the drive thru had to be the adult and figure out what they needed to do. She gave her good advice, and the manager proceeded to complain about the cook again. She took forever to take our order. My son placed his order "bacon BarBQ burger" and she didn't know what it was and kept asking him what he wanted with a different burger. We had to show her it was on the menu and her drive thru worker had to come over to show her on the big menu and what button to press. When I started on my order, she asked my son a question about how he wanted something softly. He didn't hear her and she said, "Hey!" Fairly loudly to get his attention.

Then, after I sat down and we waited 10 minutes, one of the workers came to us and informed me the grill was not working and my grilled chicken couldn't be made. It took another 10 minutes to get our order, despite there being 1 other person present.

While we were waiting, others came in and the manager rudely informed them about the situation. No sorry or apology given. They all left to go to Dairy Queen, which we should have done.

What a nasty place first of all. Had they not messed up the order, I wouldn't have had that extra time to see the filth. Just a matter of time before someone gets put in the hospital from something they ate from there. Which brings me to the employees. They'll take care of you, but first, whatever little personal conversation and video on their phone they're watching will be tended to first. I hope that elderly woman on 09/20/2023 evening shift isn't the manager. If she is, the shape of the store and the lack of attention to detail puts the whole experience into perspective. No people skills whatsoever, and her and the tall girl seemed to be annoyed and inconvenienced that customers were there. The fat one working the drive through was pleasant in comparison. Idk how these places are staying in business, maybe they've established enough territory that they don't care. Maybe they know that most of their customers are just fools passing through and won't ever see them again so whatever. One star is too much but had to click some thing to write this. Burger King in okawville is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. It is mainly managers. The employees do it right. They are nice and make fresh food in a timely manner. But managers manage to mess that all up. The one manager can’t handle more than one order at a time then has to leave one employee to cook run window and manage a full lobby while she goes out to smoke a cigarette because she is to stressed. This morning January 20 I arrived at Burger King for breakfast. I stood there for a few while me n my wife decided what we wanted then as I proceeded to tell the lovely cashier what we wanted the order screen went black. The manager,in the middle of my order, Changed the screen to lunch. I asked if lunch was over he looked at screen looked back at me n said yeah looks like it.
