The place was once a small motorcycle repair shop that they turned into a BBQ place. The food is just, "okay", and the parking and seating situations make going there extremely difficult. There's limited seating and limited parking in the lot. The street parking was completely full too at 1:00 on a Saturday. We shared our table with two others we met standing in line to order. I offered them to share our table. Otherwise, they would have had to stand or wait for someone to leave. The food was under seasoned and wasn't worth standing in line for. They can only serve one person, couple, or group at a time. You wait in line for the person ahead of you to order and get their food before someone else can order. It's a poor system for service. The one high point was that the portions were fairly good-sized. Two sandwiches, 3 sides, and no drinks cost about $42 with a tip. I don't know why I gave a tip for standing in line to get served, but I did it more out of habit than as a gratuity for good service because there wasn't any real service. In a flooded market of good BBQ places, this one has a lot going against it. I would say to try it one time, and if you do, don't go at peak times. You may like it more than I did because some people don't mind adding salt on their own. I would rather the food be properly seasoned when cooked and not rely on gobs of...
Read moreA lot of people are getting on here and bashing a restaurant and business solely based on a news article that has surfaced recently. In the article it makes it sound like Zach the owner steals from his employees which is not in fact what happened. This all came from their first year as a business. A learning aspect of running your own business especially being new to it, things happen and in this case the tips just were lumped into their pay and not separated on their checks as tips. This all has been fixed as they have learned from it. The slander on this business is outrageous and so many are so naive to believe a news article that harassed the owner to find a story out of nothing. The food is great and in fact the best BBQ in OKC. Zach in fact serves the food everyday and is very welcoming and loves his customers. So those of you saying you want the tips to go to the server, well Zach is the server. So there’s that. Don’t not go to a restaurant because of the lousy article. Go here because it is by far the best BBQ in OKC and it’s worth everything. Give Zach and Edgecraft the chance to earn your business. Go back if you say you won’t because of the article. We all know you know the food is the best and the real reason we go to...
Read moreMy wife and I came here on a Saturday at 10:45. A line was already started outside, so you know it’s going to be good. At 11, one of the staff members opened the door and greeted each person that came through the door. What a warm welcome! When we got inside, the place looked clean and had nice natural lighting. I ordered the brisket and pulled pork as my meats of choice and the mac and cheese and baked beans as my sides. The brisket was THE BEST brisket I’ve had. So juicy and tender and didn’t require sauce in my opinion. The pulled pork was slightly on the dry side, but still had a nice flavor when paired with their mild sauce. I got a nice heaping pile that filled me up by the time I was finished so that was a plus! The mac and cheese was very tasty and is not your run of the mill box of Kraft. It had to be a nice blend of high quality cheeses that tickled my taste buds just right. The baked beans had a nice flavor too! I wanted them to be sweet, but that’s just my preference when it comes to BBQ beans. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out. If you want to ensure your favorite menu item isn’t sold out, get here when they open at 11. Edge Craft is a step above the rest...
