Tastes like poor take out, with the price of a better quality/nicer restaurant. When we first walked in all I could think about was how muggy the place felt. Once we sat down the staff was nice. We ordered crab Rangoon and that was ok. The food came out fast and it was hot. We ordered lemon chicken and a pad tie. The chicken came with steamed rice that was dry and not good the lemon chicken was 75% breading and 25% was very little chicken and don’t get me started about the pad tie. It was the worst I have ever tasted, and I have had many. There was hardly any carrots, or eggs. Seemed like they tried to cover it up with the MOUND of crushed peanuts. It wasn’t sweet at all. Very disappointed and couldn’t even force myself to continue to eat it. It tasted like they poured the shirmp water in the meal. Very disappointed and left a very long lasting first impression. We won’t be...
Read moreWow, what a surprise! We'd been here a year, and I was missing chinese food from my favorite Chinese restaurant back home ... hadn't quite found the feel before I tried the food from here! Outstanding flavor! I had the cashew chicken. The only thing I'd say is, you can tell that they used to focus more on in-house seating, but after covid, it's now primarily take out. All the drinks are bottled, no fountain drink option which I found a little strange. Menus are QR codes, neat! Service was so fast, but it was weird not feeling like we could ask for another drink or a to go box easily. You paid ahead of time through the ordering app that you viewed the menu on... which some folks might not like. Probably best to just order takeout from here moving forward, which is a shame because the dining area is beautifully decorated, and I love the atmosphere of...
Read moreThis was another lunch stop while working in Lenexa. It was just ok. Nothing terrible. Nothing exceptional. The service was alright. You have to order by scanning a QR code on your phone. It makes asking questions about the menu a little difficult. A staff member did come and ask if we had any questions but it just wasn't very personable.
I had the Mongolian Beef with brown rice. It was actually really good but the spice creeps up on you. My wife had the chicken fried rice. It was not very good. The rice was over cooked and it just did not have a lot of flavor. We also got the crab Rangoon. This was the star. Well cooked and great flavor. The sweet and sour sauce was a bit thin and on the too sweet side but the dish didn't need it anyway.
The restaurant was clean and service was fairly fast. Would return but probably won't go out of my...
