Osaka Sushi 2 — Restaurant in Old Bridge Township

Will never order from them again. I placed an online order and I chose their preferred delivery service. My order was supposed to be delivered at 7:23pm, it arrived at 8:05pm. I called the restaurant and she basically blew me off. She sent me a link to check on the status of my delivery. I clearly stated " DO NOT LEAVE ORDER BEHIND THE DOOR" and to ring the bell. The order was left behind the door and was all wet due to the rain. To make matters worse, I had clearly stated on the instructions to the restaurant , that they needed to put the Spyder roll separately from the Philadelphia roll, because I'm allergic to shellfish. Surely enough, they put both rolls in the same container. I called and spoke to Cheng. First of all, if your a business, make sure someone who speaks and understands English, answers the phone. She just kept talking and not take responsibility for the error. I told her that I wanted credit for the 2 rolls. I said that I would go to the restaurant at a later date and she agreed. 20 min later, she called me back and all I could hear is her talking loud to someone else from the restaurant in Japanese. She then had the nerve to hang up on me. Are you kidding me? The rest of the hot food was ice cold at this point. Really bad customer service. I've had problems with other restaurant's in the past and they always apologized and made things right. There are so many better Japanese restaurants to order from. I gotta shout out Osaka Sushi 2, located off RT 18 behind Halal Spot (across Maple St from Wawa). The food was amazing and delicious. I actually ate in vs take out, and ghe place and service is really nice. I tried a "Yummy Roll", "Sexy Girl Roll", and a Deep.Fried California roll which had this amazing honey sauce on it which smelled amazing even before I tasted it. Brought home a lot of leftovers. Honestly it's a shame the location is kinda hidden, because they deserve more business. Maybe that's good for a quiet little spot for lunch or dinner.

The crew there is really friendly and nice too. Despite a language barrier we chatted a bit. One funny thing is they have a Philadelphia Roll and something called a Phoenix Roll. However when they pronounce Phoenix it sounds like Philly lol. So be sure to say Philadelphia not Philly or you could get wrong thing. I kept thinking she was saying Philly till she pointed to menu. They cannot pronounce an English "X", we tried lol. If they mess up the Phoenix roll looks great too so not such a bad mixup, but give them a break, it's their 2nd language. Highly recommend stopping in or ordering pickup. When people are this nice and food this good I am always happy...

Great quality food but service needs attention. First time dined in and ordered a spicy scallop roll without tempura or avocado/cucumber, got served a crabmeat roll, roll got replaced no problem, but today I ordered the same spicy scallop roll for pick up and got served shrimp tempura, even though got asked 3 times to confirm the order.

Update on review. Got contacted by one of the workers to accommodate my disconcern, I take my words back, service is top notch, wasn’t expecting feedback at all. Fresh ingredients, beautiful service when understood the details despite the minor discrepancies. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately can’t make another review, so I’ll add to this one. Once again, the staff is on point, accommodating to your taste and understanding. I mistakenly ordered the scallop sushi a la carte instead of a scallop roll, but talking to the waitress she revised my order from what I ordered by mistake to what I really wanted at no additional cost.
