I don't know if we went on a bad day but the food here was nothing like what some of these reviews described. The chicken in my pad thai was so overcooked and hard that I couldn't stick it with a plastic fork. All the chicken was overcooked.. The spring rolls looked thrown together. The carrots were good but I would never have served someone the lettuce that was in them. So disappointing especially after reading the reviews.

I chose this spot for its wow selection of vegetarian options, it's great prices and delicious sounding appetizers. Bua preformed in ago areas! Starters were delightful and full of flavor, fresh and tasty. The salad was good, if somewhat basic, but the peanut dressing made it excellent. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

We visited the beach in February (sunny but super cold) and were delighted to find this restaurant open. There was no table service (staff shortage), however, we were able to order a takeout and then eat inside. The service was quick and friendly. E had chicken vegetable delight and chicken pad si ew and the food was delicious! 👍🏻

I've lived in Maine 10 years. Since Thai is my favorite food, I get Thai from different restaurants at least once a week, but the flavors in this particular Thai food was very off. I spent $50 at Bua Thai and ate barely any of it. The Tom Gai soup was so salty that the rest of its flavors were canceled out and my friends thought the same thing so I hardly touched it, which is crazy because it'd my favorite soup! I ordered the Pad See Ew with seafood, and not only did I find a pile of broken crustacean shells in it, but the flavors and saltiness were very unimpressive. The Pad Thai was bland with not enough sauce, but at least the tofu on it was ok. I offered the food to other people in the house, and even they didn't like it, so I ended up throwing the whole $50 worth of food away. Also, the woman at the cash register seemed very cold and rude when i was buying this takeout, which makes me wonder if maybe the problem with their food is it isn't cooked with enough love? Food actually tastes better when good intentions are put into it, and Thai people are usually always so friendly and kind, so it was rather off-putting smiling and being friendly to this woman, when she couldn't so much as smile back. Maybe she was just having a bad night, but anyway, this was my experience and that's why 1 star is all I'm...

Ordered on Monday and Thursday 8/9 and 8/12 while visiting Saco. 2 solid takeout orders, no issues. Portions were generous and well presented with vegetables. Spicy pad Thai was great but the mango beef fried rice was the star 🌟 both times. Pu pu platter for 1 was well worth the price and even included dipping sauce for all the items in it. Ordered ahead online through their website, though there was a $1.50 'convenience fee', the orders were ready at stated times both times. The lady working the window has a very meticulous system in place for the pandemic which while different was well run. NOTE: If you're trying to order at the window, there is a speaker set up in which she is wearing a headset, so i can see some confusion in orders being messed up in communication, and another reason that a small fee, which likely isn't in the restaurants control, is well worth ordering exactly what you want, how you want it and being ready on arrival. The containers did leak slightly due to them being packed full, so be mindful of placement when picking up, and the location could use some updating, but I was here for the food and so 5...

This is the place to eat in the area or to go . The food is outstanding. Take it from a chef. The people are caring and This is definitely hidden gem get your food to go and enjoy it under the stars are quick lunch. The food is absolutely incredible. I am a chef. I just wanna say that when I first got there I got the soup and the soup was incredible. The coconut soup but then I ordered the drunken noodles. The noodles were great. The meat was uneditable. Everything else was perfect. Took two bites had to spit out the meat and pull all the meat out of the dish. I regret ever ordering the beef drunken noodles because the beef was horrible. I should’ve asked her what was the freshest most tender meat, but drunken noodles, the drunken noodles actually from Singapore that I have had taste best with beef in Singapore and the restaurants amazing. The food is good. Something was wrong with the beef on this specific day and $18 is a lot of money to spend on a dish with the beef very chewy and unedible so we paid $18 for just noodles was bad and that’s why I have to mark this three stars otherwise it would’ve been...
