There are some big issues here with this map entry. Almost all of the pics, reviews, etc. are for a different business - same building. The previous business was called Duffies, it appears they closed down/changed about 6 to 12 months ago.

The new business is called Birdies Grill and Tavern. Very different menu based on the reviews and menu pics currently posted. I have no idea if the management changed or staff changed.

Now the actual review:

The place is a bit of a ghost town as it is off season here in a very heavily touristed area. I'm glad they are open as almost all the local eateries are either closed, or they are Mexican or Thai (I like both cuisines, just need variation) so options in this area are minimal right now.

I waited quite a while at the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign. I had to get a bartender's attention (he was the only employee I could see anywhere) and he told me to grab a seat and was friendly about it. I asked if the grill was still open as there were zero diners there at 7:40 pm. He said yes, so I grabbed a table.

The place is huge, about 2/3 shut down; I assume they get used during on season and for events. There were about seven people at the bar, a bartender, and me. I sat at a table far from the bar, but the chatter was very loud. They need to put up baffling to help the acoustics.

About five minutes later a server appeared, no idea where she had been hiding as between waiting then sitting I had been there about 10 minutes, which is too long for no diners. She was friendly and took care of me, so I let bygones be bygones about the wait.

That menu was limited and prices very high, but I saw many items I wanted to try. There was a single page menu and single page drink list, both big, laminated, and double sided. I took pics but now that I am at home I see one side of the menu was too blurry to upload - I will capture that my next visit.

I had the Chipotle Bacon Meatballs appetizer. It was good, but the sauce was too sweet and I never saw any bacon. It came with four pieces of garlic toast and they were thin but tasty. For main course I had the Cottage Pie, but the portion was so small for $22 and no accompaniments. I had a drink called the "One Put Punch." They had a golf theme (in the same building was a virtual indoor golf) so I believe they meant "One Putt Punch." It was okay but not a $9 drink. I had a second one anyway, who needs money when you can drink alcohol.

Overall I am already planning to visit again soon. There are several menu items I want to try, and American fare is very hard to find in this area. I will add more pics and update my review if needed. I do recommend giving them a try, but bring a big wallet. I didn't even have dessert or entre sides and still paid $55 for a solo...

One can only hope a truck is coming. A truck with food or a moving truck! This was a rough night at Birdie's and for our first ever visit, the impression left was unmistakable. Out for a date night and celebrating our success losing weight and getting it better shape, we were looking for to a particular cuisine. Started off with 2 drinks and those were good. For our order, she had the Baked Haddock and I was going to have the Baked Scallops. They were out. That happens, regroup. I felt like I could get away with the Sirloin, so I went with that. They were out. Huh? This is a Saturday night at 6:00pm so It's going to be a long weekend. We almost left, just to be able to find what we were looking for, but then another wait and we figured it be okay. I went with a bowl of chowder and a salad. Dinner arrived and the server apologized that they were out of fingerling potatoes so they substituted French fries on the Baked Haddock. Well, that's a real diet no-no and something you would put on baked Haddock, certainly without asking the customer first. It was just a bad night. Our server, Dennis, tried to be good, but without any sort of discount or visit from a manager, it was a depressing $90 bill. Naturally on the way out, the bathroom visit found that there were no towels! Of course. I can't see a reason at this point why we would ever return...

I went here with my son and boyfriend. We waited for our our food for well over an hour. I tried to be patient but I ended up saying to the waitress, "I know its not your fault but what the heck happened?" She said actually it is my fault, I forgot to put in your order. I said ok. Meanwhile two groups that had come in the same time as us had ordered, gotten their food, eaten, paid and left. We only ordered two salads and some nachos. When the food came it was only subpar. The bill came two hours later and I noticed there was no discount for the unnecessary wait time. I said this to the waitress. She said she'd have to check with her manager. The waitress came back and said the discount was a no go but she could offer me a free dessert. I said we were all full and I would rather have a discount. She came back with her manager who said the same thing. I said we are all full and do not want a desert, we want a discount. She said, "fine, I'll give you a discount." VERY rudely and stormed off. Needless to say, this was not a...

Very Good food. Relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend coming before 4pm during the summer at least if you want to avoid crowds and waiting. We went right when they opened and got seated right away. We only had to wait a few minutes for our early dinner. My only complaint is that they should have served our salads first before the meal 🥘 came out but instead within a couple of minutes of eating our salad 🥗 the food came out. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us but not so much that it was annoying. But again I would come right when it opens up to avoid the crowd. A bit pricey as well but worth it because the food again is really good and they also accommodated my daughter and made her grilled cheese 🧀 even though it wasn’t on the menu which I really appreciated. Will definitely be going back again. 👍 😋😊

Decent and clean, the presentation of the facility left high hopes for a great stay, but the one server we had for our event left us wondering what we were doing there. Maybe she did the best she could, but I would imagine that the management knew we had reserved the event room, so one might conclude that they knew we would need more than one server. I would have preferred to have been at the bar area, watching those TVs and joking with the bartender. I'll have to go back and try some food... it LOOKED good, but I didn't get more than a single bacon wrapped scallop in a two hour stay... which was good, but I left to go eat, when I'd have rather eaten there. I look forward to giving them another try, when I'm there on my own terms. For now, 4 stars seems like a good placeholder.
