I attended an event catered by them. I ordered a stuffed portabella instead of chicken, but despite having my name on their list for that entree, they didn't give it to me. I found out they gave it to someone else who they didn't have listed for that entree. Having no entree, I requested they give a partial or full refund. They didn't. They did make me a chopped mushroom and asparagus thing, which was a side dish as far as I can tell, so they tried w/what they had on hand. But, I am so disappointed overall that I'd not want to attend another event if I learn they're catering it. They still owe me an entree, refund, or partial refund (whatever portion of the price was considered the entree), as pieces of mushrooms cooked w/asparagus isn't filling like an entree. I can almost give 2 stars because they did try something, which I thought would be more than a side dish, but the more I think through things the more I realize I regret going to that event (even though the rest of it was well done). Sam P.S. They didn't even check on me later on to see if I wasn't upset w/my replacement dish. P.P.S. I wish they confirmed w/everyone at the table when taking food away (appetizers, etc.) if anyone wanted more or to take the food home instead of just getting rid of it (they took away several hard boiled eggs, and I'd have eaten one or taken one or more home if I was given the option).
What would have been sufficient to make up for what happened? Had they made sure to give me what I ordered, it would have been sufficient, but in lieu of that: Had they had the stuffed portabella mushrooms at the buffet and got the name of each person prior to serving them, it would have been sufficient. Had they made an extra entree in case one fell on the floor, was given to the wrong person, etc., it would have been sufficient. Had they had the ingredients to make the replacement entree on hand and made it, it would have been sufficient. Had they offered me 1/2 of the leftovers of the meat entree to take home for any family members interested or remaining soup, it would have been sufficient. Had they offered me a refund or 3/4 or full, and possibly 1/2, it would have been sufficient. Had they given me an option to get a complete meal at a later date, since I ordered and so expect a complete meal, to be delivered, it would have been sufficient. Had they ordered me a similar entree delivered or made me a similar entree, it would have...
Read moreCloud Nine Catering catered our wedding at The Lace Factory on July 13, 2023. Let's put it this way... if I could eat their food everyday, I would. Their appetizers, main courses, and cake/cupcakes/cannolis were to die for. My guests are still talking about how amazing the food was weeks after our wedding. If you're looking for food that doesn't have that typical taste or look that it was made in bulk... go here! Nothing is worse when you're at an event and it tastes like "banquet hall food". How many people actually say they're excited to eat their leftovers after their wedding?!
Also, when we attended our tasting prior to the wedding, the experience they provided was above and beyond. It was so intimate and special and we truly felt valued and heard. The chefs, staff, and overall quality is top notch. My post wedding blues are mainly because I already miss the Cloud Nine staff, especially Christine! Don't judge until you've worked with them!!
Christine Dickerson truly goes above and beyond in all aspects of her job. She has an answer for every question (even the silly ones) and she responds to emails within the same day, if not within a couple hours. Her expertise made wedding planning a breeze and her calming presence helped immensely at my wedding. I feel fortunate to have had her a part of my wedding day, and planning experience.
Highly...
Read moreUsed them for a wedding at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness. I posted a more detailed review on yelp. Cocktail Hour was a complete disaster. All the hors d'oeuvres came from COSTCO and they ran out. "Forgot" to put out the champagne toast I had paid for, I reminded them, everything came to a halt and they served a less than half full glass of warm champagne 90% of the guests had ordered filet mignon. They did not ask anyone how they would like their meat. Served each person a lukewarm to cold piece of rare filet. Feedback from guests for this entree ranged from a polite "I've had better" to "inedible". Side dish, eh. Mahi Mahi, feedback was "it was okay" Sides, were same "eh". Veggie pot pie, I had this, only about 3 requested this. It was very good. No sides came with this. Cake was good but it did not taste as good, nor have the same icing as at the tasting we paid for. They did not serve coffee or cake, it was self serve. This was not expected at a sit down dinner. If your daughter just must must be married at the Eolia, like mine, just use the park for the ceremony and go elsewhere for the reception, If you are still considering this merchant, don't bother paying for a tasting menu, it wont taste that way at your event and don't waste your money on those COSTCO appetizers. Just go for a top shelf open bar. That was the best part of the...
