I am from NYC so my opinion on this subject is actually relevant. Most Pizza in Oklahoma is supplied via a gas station. Since moving to Oklahoma I found this absolutely horrifying. However in desperation I have even found myself getting and even enjoying gas station Pizza. I thought my palate was ruined.
After passing Heavenly Dough a couple of times we finally decided to go in. As an elitist from New York City I did not expect a pizza place in Oologah to be anything special. The thought of a good pizza in Oklahoma was laughable. This place proved me wrong.
The pizza was excellent and easily the best pizza I've had outside NYC. It's even better than some places in NYC! The crust, while not a New York style thin crust, was very light and well made. The crust would have been my favorite part, but to say that would do the rest of the pie a great injustice. The whole thing was excellent. Ingredients are clearly homemade and even the pepperoni was excellent. Pepperoni, even in NY, usually suffers from excessive grease. Not so...
Read moreI called in an order. Took a little extra time. No big deal. It’s my third time there it’s worth the wait. It is the best for miles around. This day and age getting service with a smile is unheard of. The owner was working one visit I was there because no workers. That was few months back. Anyway I sat in the eating area waiting on my order and the staff was nice to everyone that came in. They told me there would be a wait so no big deal. Only a 4 on atmosphere because it’s just a place to eat pizza. I do love that. Heavenly Dough Pizzeria is just that a place to eat your pizza. It is clean very nice area. The pizza tasted excellent I got hand tossed pepperoni with jalapeños. 😃 Cheese bread was very good too. Lots of cheese. They have many options on their menu. Prices are average. Thank you being in our small town. If you’re in Oolagah and not sure what you’re hungry for swing by give them a try. I’ll have pictures next...
Read moreGlad I decided to pull over at Pete's Phillip 66 after a good day of trucking and walk down to Heavenly Dough Pizzeria instead of taking advantage of the gas station's convenience. The lady who answered the phone when I called as I walked over to talk about my options and their willingness to bake me a pizza within a half hour of closing was very kind and patient. I decided to go with a family package so I got breakfast and lunch covered 😁. After ordering, we gossiped about my Iowa town, and her Oklahoma town, which helped pass time while the folks in back were getting busy. A customer called while in was in that was unhappy with possible incorrect change, and witnessed them handle the situation with a good attitude and honor the difference in dispute. I liked the decor and there was pleasant odor in all areas a customer could go. My belly is happy as I type...
