Normally I would rate them higher. My only complaint in the past was they rarely give you light ice in your drink when you ask for it.
Tonight was a horrible experience and maybe speaks to how this restaurant is now managing service. I made a large order through the drive thru and was asked to pull up. That was fine and expected. I checked my order and was missing my order of regular size fries. The lady at the speaker asked me what size I wanted and gave the size options so I know she added it to the order. Still parked in the drive thru I went inside and shared I was missing my fries. An employee said I would need my receipt so I looked through my wallet. I admittedly have a problem with hoarding receipts and skimmed through them. No luck so I went back to my car to look. No luck so I went back inside and another employee said they would also need to see the food. So I went back out and got the food bag and placed it on the counter. I went receipt by receipt for a fairly long time and could not find it. Nobody checked my bag. Nobody offered to look if they had my order or receipt I was asked to sign. At that point I just said forget it and left. I pulled into a parking spot and sat another 10+ minutes looking through my wallet, under car seat, food bag, and then drink carrier. I knocked over the drink carrier and spilt two cokes. Now I’m totally annoyed and left. I know I paid for fries that I didn’t get. What is truly annoying is that the saying “the costumer is always right” is totally gone but also who in their right mind would spend so much time going through receipts at the counter for a free fry? I would think for a big corporation that their employees would see that and maybe take the person’s word at that point. I mean my car never left the drive thru at that point! It’s expensive to eat here and we drive almost half an hour to get the occasional dinner from them. Always close to 40 dollars. I felt like I was being accused of being a liar and I’m the one who lost out. I don’t think I even got a receipt or I handed it back on accident when I signed the first receipt. So frustrating and over a cheap fry!!!
So future customers beware, be ready to produce your receipt, food, drivers license or passport, blood type and be ready for a stomach pump and/or car search if they mess...
Read moreThis place is ridiculous, I tried to place an order over the phone today, the cashier said they were unable to start my order until I paid for my order I explain to her I had a discount card and how can I apply the discount so I can go ahead and pay for my order and pick up upon arrival. She stated unfortunately there was no way to do it over the phone and I would have to pay in full over the phone or wait till I arrived for them to start my order. I clearly stated that's not a problem I'd be more than glad to do so however I assume you will refund me the discount upon arrival and showing you the discount card, she said she would ask her manager and get back to me. When she came back she stated her manager Robert stated that was not a possibility and my only options were to either pay in full and they would not accept my coupon over the phone or wait till I arrived in person for my order to start being made and then to have to additionally wait another 20 minutes in person for the order to be made.
Being that this did not sound accurate and real ridiculous I ask to speak to the manager who was Robert and I even asked if it would be possible to leave my card as collateral for them to start the order it giving approval that if I do not pick up my order they can go ahead and charge my card but but wait till I arrived for them to charge it so they can confirm the discount card.
Apparently Mamager Robert was too lazy to have to do the double work of refunding the discount so he said the only options were for me to either pay in full and then not honor the discount card or wait till I arrived and have to wait an additional 20 minutes as penalty to use my discount card. When I requested corporates number he said he didn't care because it was a franchise and did not have to follow or accept corporate regulations or rules. I told them to cancel my order and left to purchase food elsewhere. This franchise owner should truly consider hiring professionals as managers not young uneducated personnel lack customer service.
Hopefully corporate office will open our location close by and nobody has to continue dealing with the ignorance and lack of customer service from the personel...
Read moreSo I’ve been coming to this Zaxbys for more than 15yrs. We love the food! I have to say that I’ve been frustrated over the last several years back before Covid due to the lack of quality assurance! Every single time I come thru the drive thru we are always disappointed with the amount of fries we are served! We pay for the large fries and barely get the serving of a regular fries. Then when we gently and kindly ask the employees to please add more fries there is a blank stare and look of discontent because we are asking. I repeatedly explain that we pay premium prices for a fair serving and then the look turns to annoyed! This time I ordered mine and my daughter’s food in advanced and just to be sure I open to see if the fries are correct or not. And of course they look less than a regular serving. Politely ask the female staff if they can pls add more as I paid for the large upgrade and then I look at the sandwich bun to see about the sauce, and it’s the tiniest dollop so I ask if they can add more to the sandwich or throw in a sauce and I’ll do it. She appears annoyed and says I’ll just have them remake it! I stopped the motion of handing her the container to say “ no I don’t want it remade I just want the correct serving of fries and sauce please” she proceeded to ask me to pull up and they’ll have it out. And I get it who cares right? Like it’s just time and time and time again this happens EVERY time I have yet to have one experience where I didn’t have to ask for them to please add the proper fries! So I just decided to make a review since it’s been so long! Not to mention the sauce policy is annoying I spend easy $40-$50 for a family of 5 and I have to literally ask the manager to get some extra sauces! It’s just a customer service issue!
