Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Orchard Mesa

I have to say, we always come to this daylights and usually have an awesome experience. The girls that work there are always super sweet and the donuts are perfect. We always get koolaches or “breakfast sausages” because they’re the only ones in town that get them right. Even the Daylight on North Ave doesn’t do them correctly. The last 2 times we’ve been though, the koolaches have not been cooked correctly. The dough is too thin now and today it was still doughy on the inside to where we couldn’t even eat them so we wasted almost $8 on these for our family of 5. The photo on the left is what we got and can see the dough sticking to the sausage because it’s not cooked. The photo on the right is what they usually look like and we miss. Hopefully they bring back the original way of cooking/preparing these because they’re the only place in town that cooked the...

The donuts were decent, not warm but still had the light crispiness from being fresh. The employees, however, were less than friendly. One barked at us to wait because she was busy when we started to give our order. In our defence, she gave no greeting or any communication indicating that she would be with us in a moment. The other lady came up to help quickly but was very cold. We could tell she was just wanting to get us out as quickly as possible. Quick service is great but because of the overall ambiance of the store and the employees attitudes, unless I absolutely need a donut on Mondays, (because all of the other locations are closed on Mondays!!) Donuts are GOOD, but for the past couple of years I would always ask for a double stuffed long john and they would do just that. Now with newer staff I guess they dont know how to do that. When I ask they look at me like I am an alien? When I explain what it is they go do it or at least go through the motions because when you open the LJ it barely has any in it. If that is a double filled one I hate to see what a normal one is. Time to go to the North Ave one..... I know they know how to fill...
