Visited tonight, wasnt super inpressed. The pretzel was the best part of the experience. Other than that it didnt inpress me much. Music was loud and the waitresses carded my gf twice which is understandable cause she looks younger than her age, but they completely forgot to bring her the drink she ordered when it really wasnt even busy. The flat bread pizza sauce tasted like the sauce in a pizza roll, and the wildberry seltzer didnt taste like seltzer water at all just tasted like fruity beer. I have yet to try any of their other brews so I cant say anything about those just yet. I will probably not give this place another chance just based on how the owner responded to one of the other reviews on here. You should not own a business if you cant take criticism. (Update Below)

I ended up deciding to give ocb another chance. Sat down took 30 mins to finally get service. Also to note it wasn't even very busy when we were there. After that we ordered food which took us 2 hours to get!!! This is by far the longest it has ever taken me anywhere to get food served to me. We asked twice where our food was when it finally arrived it was cold. At this point we were to hungry to risk waiting another 2 hours to have it remade. I will not be back second time was...

The atmosphere of the brewery was nice and so was the beer. However the food was subpar. My flatbread Chicken Marinara was a joke. The chicken flavor on it tasted just like chicken out of Campbells chicken noodle soup. When I order something with carnalized onions I expect caramelized onions. This had a few cooked onions thrown on it. No good flavor at all on this whole meal. I ate a few bites brought the rest home, and never wanted it again so I prayed $12.00 for a meal I threw away. Thankfully my husbands sandwich brisket was better than what I ordered, so he shared it with me. It was okay, but again it said carnalized onions , and they weren't caramelized and the rest of the special ingredients other than the brisket were scant on it. It was a Saturday afternoon and it appeared that there were only 2 employees working. Our waitress was fine. But it looked like the food preparer was a teenager or young man, that didn't know how to cook, he just put food together. If I want that kind of food I would go to a fast food place. Very disappointed for what we got, for the...

Stopped by on Memorial day. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, no hostess, so after sitting at a table for a while with no wait staff visible and no service, moved to bar since odds seemed better. One overwhelmed bar tender appeared to be only guy working the entire place, and it was moderately busy. Like other reviewers mentioned, it is a free for all. Overheard a table had their food order forgotten, and had to wait very long time to finally get it. Bar did reduce price for them to compensate. Rude big guy customer became upset with the single, overwhelmed bartender’s level of service, kept loudly complaining, calling him rude and trying hard to start a fight with him. Got scary. Bartender called someone for help on phone, and eventually a guy and girl showed up to help. Apparently they then fired the single bartender right there on the spot, we couldn’t help but overhear all of this. OCB brew was good, but way too stressful a place. Service just way insufficient. Too bad because Oregon could use a...

Very nice place. The vats they brew the beer in are visible through the windows on the front of the building. The decor showcases the history of the building, mostly through old photos. The bar is beautiful shabby chic with hooks for a purse directly in front of each stool. The service was fast and attentive. We had spicy bloody mary’s to drink. I ordered the brisket flatbread and my husband had the special surf and turf. The steak kabob in the surf and turf was perfectly cooked, tender, and well seasoned. The shrimp kabobs (surf) were also well seasoned, hot, and not at all rubbery, which is sometimes a problem with restaurant shrimp. My flatbread had very tender slices of brisket, caramelized onions, cheese, and the OCB sauce, which is a sort of Buffalo-style barbecue sauce, all on a fresh flatbread cooked to a pizza-style doneness. Great place, nice atmosphere, wonderful food, attentive waitstaff. Definitely recommend!

I would've loved to give the food 5 stars... But I cannot. I ordered the special: bacon brisket burger with fries. The presentation was beautiful, but the first bite was not what I expected. The brisket was dry and tough. The bun, although tasty, was entirely too big for the meat patty. Very skimpy on the meats, and the sandwich definitely needed mayo to compensate for the small amount of aioli on the bun. The jalapenos were delicious, but pickled jalapenos usually are! The fries were okay, but I was extremely surprised that there were no condiments at the table so we were halfway done with the burgers before the help (sauces) arrived. They serve Pepsi products and I feel like the fountain mix needs some calibration... Pepsi was entirely too sweet. Overall just disappointed with the food. But the female server was absolutely delightful and on top of managing the entire bar and dining area solo. Very impressive indeed.

I stopped at Ogle County Brewery to try their beers. It is a super cool historic building in Oregon IL. It's a big place and they have a lot of history around the facility. The service was really friendly and attentive. They had 9 of their own beers on for my stop with some unique options. Beers included: strawberry ale, an amber wheat, vanilla and hazelnut porter, west coast IPA, oktoberfest, an english golden ale, pineapple habanero, American pils, a cider, and a seltzer. The oktoberfest was smooth, the amber wheat was good, the porter was my favorite. They also have guest beers, a full bar, and the food looked really good (but I had already eaten.) I would definitely stop again if I am in the area.
