Sunrise 3 — Restaurant in Oregon - Nashua Township

My husband and I moved to Oregon a few months ago and this is my first time trying Sunrise 3. I liked that they have a fairly basic menu, but also have interesting specials. I got the caramel apple waffle and hash browns. Both were fantastic! The waffle itself was honestly one of the best I've ever had, light and fluffy. Plus, they warmed the apples before putting it on the waffle, so it wasn't room temperature or cold topping just plopped on there. Also, hash browns are something I'm picky about. You wouldn't think they're hard to get right, but I often find them overcooked and flavorless. These were awesome! Needed a tiny bit of salt, but they were cooked perfectly. Wonderful restaurant wedged into a small location. It's generally pretty full so you know it has a pretty good following. My wife and I ordered western omelettes with hashbrowns and they were delicious. Generous amounts of vegetables, ham, and cheddar cheese nestled perfectly in a well prepared setting. My hashbrowns were good, but I prefer mine crispier then they were prepared. The large orange juice was served in the world's smallest cup so we continued to drink the water that was provided in our own little pitcher to finish our meal. We had ordered 2 pancakes to split between us and although they were a little cold when delivered, they were both still delicious. I only give it 3 stars because it's a family restaurant. If it were a fancy restaurant I would give it 5 for sure. They have really good food for any appetite (in the Midwest anyway) for a good price. I was just there the other day, actually. I ordered a deluxe mushroom burger that came with French fries, garnish, and a salad that was served before my main dish came out. My bill, including a 20% tip came to $10.00. They offer Pepsi products and have a great selection to pick from when ordering a meal.
