Doug's Place was an unexpected find when we stopped for gas. I haven't had a burger in years, but thought I might try their vegan Impossible cheese burger. What an incredibly delicious tasty burger! The buns were big enough to cover the burger, but not so big that you can only taste the buns. The burger had a slight charbroild taste, not greasy, and tasted like meat, but better. The produce was fresh and everything was portioned perfectly. Yummy! My husband had the Hawaiian burger and he could not stop raving about it too. The customer service was awesome too. Weird location but worth the trip...the ladies behind the counter were pleasant and full of joy and greeted each new customer like an old friend stopping by for lunch. My Mom had the chili and I had a teriyaki plate that was good and could have fed 3 people...with teriyaki there's not much difference from place to place it is what it is...so the excellence is in how much and who you encounter while you order it and on both of those levels Doug's exceeded my expectations...I'll be back to try a burger and fry basket next round which also smelled and looked great....well done Doug's...highly recommend...but bring an appetite and they make it all fresh and are popular so...

Some of the best burgers I’ve ever had!! Y’all have got to try the Cajun chicken sandwich.

Edited to add: when I worked nearby a few years ago, Doug's was my lunch spot. I went at least once or twice a week, and I would have come in every day if I wasn't making so little money. The staff is extremely friendly, and their menu has a good variety of things. Now I have moved far, far away, and I still think about Doug's on a semi-regular basis. Sometimes I get hungry and I'd think, I wish Doug's was closer. Every time I pass by Eugene on the I-5 I still make sure to plan the trip so that I can grab a bite here.
