Joe Daddy’s Burgers and more — Restaurant in Oregon

Updated review (7/18/25): We were back in the area, up from Corvallis and missed Joe this round, but understand he's got to balance work/life.

There were 2 girls working there... the blonde who was taking the orders was less-than-personable and seemed generally disengaged. The food took quite a while to come out, and when we got our order, our milkshakes had turned to essentially chocolate milk, with the Cool Whip melted down to just a couple of white blops on top. (Pro tip: Make the milk shakes last, when the burgers are almost done or totally done). I asked her if she could make some fresh shakes that weren't melted and she did, but definitely gave me a look like I had inconvenienced her with the request.

There seemed to be a steady stream of customers, but she was definitely in no hurry to get their orders and the girl who was doing all of the cooking seemed a little frustrated.

The burger was still tasty, but not as drippy gooey cheesy delicious as when Joe made it for us last time we ate there.

Leaving this as a 5 star review overall b/c our first experience was amazing and memorable. The food this time was still good. And maybe the girl who took our orders was just having a bad day, or maybe she won't last long and the next time we are there it'll be a new employee (or maybe Joe again!!! 🤞). So the service and atmosphere were downgraded this round, but I would leave everything else still as a five-star.

If we come by again, we would still eat there (because the food is really yummy)... And we still recommend Joe Daddy's for great burgers.

Former review (5 star): We were hiking all day in the gorge and craving a burger. Joe Daddy's came up with good ratings and we decided to try it. It was UNREAL. Joe was teaching his son about tending a business and also cooking THE BEST burger I can remember having. The meat was so flavorful, cooked perfectly and just the right amount of everything else to make this amazing (triple decker) cheeseburger (with bacon, leave no fats out)! We got a milkshake too b/c no burger is complete without the sugar drinks! Topped it off like a dream! We live almost 2 hours from the gorge, but that will be on our list of stops next time we're in Portland - SO worth it whether on your way to somewhere or as its own destination!! (forgot to take pictures, was SO hungry and it smelled so awesome I ate it almost half way before I realized I should have taken a picture for the review.) We went there last week but just not getting...

*3rd Edit I think I've established myself as a regular now? We tried the special - chicken sandwich with campfire sauce. I am down for any specials now because they've proven they do everything with craft. The chicken was fried to perfection yet not greasy at all. I should probably stop bombarding my own review here so if you don't hear from me again, safe to say I'm still coming here any time I crave a burger (which is often). ❤️

2nd Edit This is gonna be one long review because every time I go back I try something new. Their shakes are SO delicious! We did a raspberry peanut butter one and they use soft serve ice cream so it's super smooth. I think they've found themselves some regulars - my husband and I love this place! Staff are great! Keep up the good work :)

Edit Oh my gosh, we tried the corn dog this time and I haven't had one in yeeeeeears but they were never this good. 🤤 Only general suggestion would be to add another picnic table in the front :)

I can't believe it took us so long to finally come here! It's SO GOOD. I like the thinner patties and perfectly accompanying brioche buns. Prices are great and the staff is lovely. Absolutely our go to for local...

The first time I tried Joe Daddy's Burger was really surprised I was not expecting it to be that good and the onion rings were delicious. the fact was it was so good that I got hooked up on that me and my brother made a pack to at least go once or twice a month over there to eat. it's a long hour drive but we felt it was worth it to taste those burgers that's how hooked we were on the burgers.I myself always get the triple Burger with onion rings I don't know why but I never thought of burger would taste that good with onion rings being that simple. I never thought I would go so far just to get something to eat but Joe Daddy's burgers really made it worth it. and that's something never thought I would do or say so yeah I would recommend Joe Daddy's burgers if you're the type of guy or girl or whatever that really likes a good old-fashioned Burger then here's the place...
