Best Food I have EVER ever Had!!! My Husband loves to Find New Places to Enjoy a meal at. ( Really actually More so his Hobby). We Decided that We Where Ready to Venture into Either Here, or to the Forge, however My husband Is not So big On Eating Steak. So We opted to check This One out. Oh My, Oh My!! Was that A Great Fantastic Choice!! He got the Meatloaf, I Had The fish N' chips! We tasted each others Meals, then Made the Joint agreed stamp of Definitively This Being The Best Place That We Together Have Visited. We have only lived in Bandon now For 1 1/2yrs, but we have been to about All of the Restaurants that have been open for business in addition, we Moved From The Portland Area where we Have Gotten to Try Soo soo many Restaurants of Many variety if cultures too. Outside of eating Here, We have Frequented the Broken Anchor probably the most, as We Tend to eat dinner at a later Time than most, for places open late, we Enjoy the Flavorful Cocktails that They Create plus My husband likes to watch Games there! IF we Where Capable of Affording The Luxury to Make McKees A frequent location We Would Most assuredly Eat there At least 2-3 times a week! My Fish N' Chips where So beautifully Salty fresh with A breading That Was not Super thick or Generic tasting, it was a wonderfully Golden brown light But Coated evenly, Allowing for the Flavors to Meld perfectly As to truly embrace the Scenic views overlooking the Beautiful ocean. My Husband Never eats fish or seafood, Even he Was Very enticed to Give it a try.. he almost ate A full half of a Fish piece. Hee Hee!! I was Happy to share as it was great to see him enjoy the fish. His Meatloaf was Not Just Fluff or Bread stuffed, nor was it Super dense heavy Dry.. the flavor was Amazing , most likely You'd have to Be Someone of Huge importance, or Filthy rich to Buy Out the Chef's secret Spices used to cook it with.. thank you McKees for Truly A meal that will not Be Soon forgotten, by either one of us. Oh, just a Small side note to those who might be a bit Unsure about Taking the Chance to Really treat themselves, Please please please Do not Hesitate to Allow for yourself to simply have a wonderful quaint Extraordinary Memory that They Will not Have Any Regrets nor Feel one bit Of guilt for Having Splurged on themselves, especially in this current time when All things are Very Buckled Down with Every person's budget.. This Is A True Victory...
Read moreGreat service, sort of loud establishment, but the food was a huge letdown. I ordered fish that was simply horrible, as it tasted old and more pungent than it should have. My wife's pizza was so salty she couldn't eat it, and she really likes salt. I hear that the fish isn't local, which is really odd considering the area has some of the best fish in the state. Do yourself a favor and just go to a local restaurant in town instead. Bandon Brewing is great, and if you're going north, check out NoBe, Wildflour, or North Forty. Wildflour is one of the finest restaurants in the county.
As a local, I had high hopes for this restaurant, and I hope things turn around. The whole area overall doesn't have a lot of good restaurants, but we have some gems, and I was hoping this would have been one of them. I've heard from others that they haven't had good experiences at this...
Read moreMcKee’s was recommended by some Bandon residents. Unfortunately I can’t rate the food or atmosphere because we were seated quickly and promptly ignored for 15 min while 4 servers, a hostess, and (I assume) a manager stood around and chatted while occasionally checking in with other tables. It was not busy. The hostess even made eye contact with me while I was looking around wondering who was assigned to our section and did nothing.
On our way out the door, we stated we were leaving because a server never came over. “Sorry ‘bout that” came the insincere response.
You should expect more from any restaurant/shop located on a world class golf destination. I guess having a captive customer base staying on property results in complacency and ambivalence. We won’t be back, but I...
