The restaurant is located on the edge of a shopping area. This allows for excellent parking. When you walk inside you get the vibe of an old fashioned burger joint that was been refurbished for sushi. There are about 6 tables and one is set aside for to-go orderers to sit and wait. The staff original said the wait time was 45 minutes, but it was more like 20. I ordered the sushi combination B and the angry dragon with a pepsi. The combination comes with miso soup (delicious) and a salad (beautiful), in addition to 6 rolls. Pictures will be added. The rolls were a little flavorless, excluded the spicy roll and the angry dragon. These two had so much flavor i actually used therm to spice up all my rolls. The hot sauce on these two items was a little too much. Unfortunately, this caused my trip to come to an end as i could not eat anymore and had no way to cool my pallet. The beverage options were not as varied as one might liked, unless your in the mood for an alcoholic beverage. If not the choice is soda, or unsweetened ice tea. The staff was on point the entire time and only once did my cup ever empty, which was thought when i was going to leave. I do recommend double checking the math on the check. They were a little off...
Read moreNo-go for Celiac amd gluten sensitive. Take-out only, so one star for atmosphere. The over-the-phone service is poor, language challenges on one end. The menu states the rolls are filled with Crab. Called to verify it is real crab, and the employee said no, imitation crab. They refuse any and all menu substitutions (like no replace the Krab with tuna and pay more). “They will allow a menu substitution in the form of a removal of an item, say the Krab filling of the roll (what the nori, rice, and outer toppings will “roll” around if it has nothing inside isn’t clear…), but they won’t reduce the price. So, with no atmosphere, poor service and a menu with misinformation, no accommodation so I could eat there, I don’t recommend for anyone who has Celiac, gluten-sensitive or allergy issues, or will want to make any modification or change to their menu - go elsewhere. Others must like it, I was bummed to hit...
Read moreThis was the worst sushi I’ve ever had. It was tiny, low quality fish in sloppy made rolls that were over priced. Very inauthentic and disappointing. Pictures on website are deceptive and stock photos and not represent their low grade sushi. I have eaten good authentic sushi for over 40 years around the US and in Asia. This stuff at winston sushi is not good. I also tried to call back 4-5 times right after I ordered to confirm something and they did not answer and of course messed up the order too. Poor English hard to understand , poor service, terrible sushi and high price too! Steer clear. The best sushi in southern oregon I’ve had, that’s actually made by Japanese sushi chefs, with good quality fish is in medford called Misoya Bistro. Its 100% better. Hope...
