The best margarita I never tasted. $20.00 Margarita in a jar (WHAT)! Can someone tell me if this is a control thing, a cultural thing or a I don't know how to run a business thing. Stopped in to pickup my takeout order and sat at the bar and wanted to order a margarita while I waited for my order to get ready. The woman actually told me that I could not get my drink in a margarita glass and that she would only serve it to me in a canning jar. So you actually want me to pay $20.00 for one drink and I cannot have it served to me humanly in a glass but have to drink it out of a jar like some kind of knuckle dragger. I pointed to the margarita glasses and said so I cannot have it served in one of those glasses and she actually said no. This is beyond comprehension. (What are the glasses for). People have completely lost their minds. You would rather lose a $20 or even a $40 dollar sale if I had decided I would like to order another one just to serve a customer a drink in a vessel that they do not want to drink out of (WHAT)! I then told the woman; at the Alsip Location they serve the margaritas in glasses and she said yes. I then said forget about the drink, I'll just take my carryout order and proceeded to checkout. Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building. This experience speaks volumes as to where we have arrived as a society. The food is good but you have to question the mentality of the actual people who run this location for this establishment. CAN YOU SAY CAVE DWELLERS! Needless to say, I will not be returning or recommending anyone do business here. Share this review with others for...
Read moreThe food was okay, definitely not worth the price though. I got the birria tacos dinner a few weeks ago, for reference. The cashier and some of the employees were either rude or just not accepting of me, a pudgy white guy with satanic band merch on, which is a shame. I didn't once get a smile or a welcoming feeling while ordering or waiting, which to a new customer may seem like a red flag. The waiting area is right by where the other employees are delivering plates from the kitchen, and I constantly felt I was in the way of these employees because there was next to no room to avoid them. I got stared at by other customers and employees too. I thought it was odd, sure I'm 6'0 280 with long hair and mayhem merch on or whatever I was wearing that day, but that's no need to make someone feel that they don't belong, now does it? The food was the best part of the visit, and I ate that at home. Do better yall, customer service is king especially in 2024 where everything costs so much Edit: I forgot to mention my wait time was over 30 minutes while standing I forget the exact time I waited, but this is notable for anyone out there with mobility issues or has problems standing. I get my order took a bit longer to make than normal but I've seen taco trucks in NYC on YouTube make birria tacos in 3/4 the time. Just...
Read moreSo, the 76th Avenue Burrito Jalisco re opened after a recent remodel. First off, did not really notice the remodel. Looked like paint and new tables. Still an awkward set up with bar and tables in rear. We arrived, took a seat and waited and waited, and waited. We looked at the menu and the impression was too expensive for average Mexican. Skirt steak was $29, chicken fajitas $25, ala carte tacos were $4-$5.50, $18 for carne en su jugo, expensive taco plates, and only one size 32oz margarita for $13. Unfortunately, they did a remodel and came back with crazy pricing. Anyway, we waited 12 minutes and still no server. We left. We left and went to El Cortez: $16 chicken fajitas, $19 carne asada, $3.50 for tacos ala carte, and $5.99 regular and $10 for a 30oz margarita. Sorry Burrito Jalisco, I have to break up. Expensive and mediocre food coupled with awful service. Too bad this used to be...
