I try to refrain from giving out negative reviews, my recent experience at this establishment definitely deserves one. I decided to try this restaurant for the first time. It was just me and my toddler. We quickly got our food but when we were done, I patiently waited for the server to close me out. While I was waiting to receive my bill..my son had to use the restroom. Of course the server was nowhere around for me to notify her so I grabbed all my personal belongings and took my son to the restroom. We were in there for no more than 5 or 6 minutes. When I came back to the table..all our food was gone and the table was cleaned off. We had quite of food leftover so I was planning on taking the rest of my food to go, but they tossed it instead. I requested to see the server to see what happened to our food. Instead I was met with the manager who system they assumed I left and skipped out on the bill. Of course I became upset because clearly I did not leave the building, they assumed I left without verifying I did, and no one thought or checked that maybe, just maybe I went to the restroom. Plus we were literally gone for 5 minutes. When management realized they were wrong, they informed me that I didn't have to pay. That was not good enough, I wanted to express my extreme disappointment that I was accused of skipping out on the bill, especially with being an AA female. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THEY WERE EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ....
Read moreGot more than I bargained for in my skillet the last time I dined there including: a hair, a stray mushroom (thank goodness I'm not allergic), onions, and some green peppers. It obviously must have been prepared with little care, as it shouldn't be that difficult to prepare something according to what is stated on the menu. Yes, it is harsh criticism, and yes, I am a picky eater, but I would dine at IHOP if I wanted things cooked lazily. It was my first time ordering a skillet from there, and I hope it was just a genuine mistake and not a common problem, but I'm now convinced on sticking with the short stack if I ever do somehow find myself dining there again. Ownership has also added a bunch of tacky neon signs outside the restaurant, which really diminishes the overall experience.
On a positive note, apart from my last experience, the five or so previous times I have dined there have been okay, leading to a 3 star review. The service is acceptable and prices are comparable to nearby breakfast eateries. The food, other than the skillets, has been about as good as other local places as well. It's not the best breakfast place in the world, but definitely a step above Denny's, Waffle House, etc.
Advice to Management: Consistency is key, and please get rid of those abhorrent,...
Read moreSo for my first experience here at this location we were seven that came to eat breakfast and one of us ordered median rare and he got well done now keep in mind the whole table did not get served until this steak was done in the mean time I ordered my hash browns extra crispy and keep in mind this took almost an hour , after getting seated and was taken the order three different groups came in afterwards and one of them was with six the other two was with two people they all got served before us but the real reason was that after all of that happening the order was not brought out the way we asked, steak was over cooked from medium rare to well done and the hash browns on a different guest was all wrong and if it’s the steak that she said they took long because of the steak but if that’s being done get the order right and get the order correct period.
Coffee was not hot warm to cool… 👎
