Went on Monday morning at 1045 not very busy. We were sat in front by coffee bar at a 2top. Felt very cold not a warm ambience very sterile. Ordered the hot honey chicken skillet and veggie skillet. We received our side cakes 20 minutes after we ordered and our skillets came after 15 more minutes that's 35 minutes after ordering very unacceptable. We upgraded to their blueberry ricotta and Dubai chocolate. The blueberry weren't bad nothing special but the Dubai were nasty no flavor at all not worth the $4 upcharge. My hot honey skillet barely had any hot honey the chicken was very dry and there were more grilled onions and peppers than potatoes. Also the onions were not fresh they were precooked then just warmed up. My wife's veggie skillet barely had any veggies and her parmesan potatoes barely had any cheese for 2.49 additional charge they could have put some cheese on them. I don't understand all the rave about this place because they can't even execute 2 simple egg skillets. The quality of ingredients is not evident for the prices they charge. $60 for 2 skillets and coffee?? Maybe I'll try them again in a few months to see if they have...
Read moreWe visited Egg & Berry Café today, and while the service was great—our waiter was friendly and attentive—the overall experience was just okay. The wait time for both our food and the latte flight felt a bit too long, especially considering how slow the restaurant was when we went. I do understand they just opened about a week ago, so I’m sure they’re still working out some kinks.
The food itself was average and didn’t quite match the higher price point. My Greek omelette was pretty good, but the hashbrowns were very plain and lacked seasoning. I opted for the Parmesan hashbrowns for an extra $2.49, but they only had a light sprinkle of Parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil—definitely not worth the upcharge. My husband ordered the ribeye skillet and said it tasted like it was cooked on a dirty pan, as it had flavors from other dishes mixed in. He wouldn’t order it again.
Overall, while the menu is appealing and the staff is friendly, the food quality and prices don’t quite align. I’m not sure we’d return, but hopefully, with a little time and adjustment, they’ll find...
Read moreThings to be mindful of: They do not sell liquor, all drinks are mocktails They are nice and well-meaning, but the service is unreasonably slow. My experience: sat 5 min after being seated, order an ice coffee, 10 min later I was asked if I wanted cream. 5 minutes later, the cream arrived. 5 minutes after that I was informed that they no longer had iced coffee, but offered to put ice in a latte. I declined and ordered a frappe instead. Sat patiently 30+ minutes. No check ins, no frappe, no acknowledgement… at this point, we decided to leave. I forgot to mention my food order was placed at the same time as the frappe. Several times a smell of burnt food filled the room indicating that maybe some difficulties in the kitchen was causing delays. Either way, this is a new place who very well may be working out the kinks, but be aware. I spent over an hour trying to give this place a try and left uncontested because no one even noticed. Great potential but much...
