We went to Bella Italia today to try their Zuppa Toscana. Many of you suggested that we try the Garlic Zeppoli. We were expecting a dish of about six or eight pieces. We got 30 of them! They were heaven on my tongue. We did not finish them all because we were waiting for the Zuppa and our lunch specials. We took the rest of them home. We are creatures of habit and usually have the Super Italian Grinder but today veered off course. Jim had the lunch portion of spaghetti with meat sauce and I had the lunch portion of lasagna. After the Garlic Zeppolis we had our lunch specials. LUNCH portions! These were huge portions. There was plenty of meat sauce and Jim did not finish so he would have room for the Zuppa. Most lasagnas are loaded with cheese and not a lot of meat. This was not loaded with a lot of cheese but did have a ton of meat. It was perfect! I took most of mine home so I could have room for Zuppa. Then came the reason why we went today, Zuppa Toscana. The broth was so flavorful and a lot of meat. The whole thing was fantastic. We took a lot home and enjoyed it for supper. That big Italian chain restaurant needs to take lessons on how to make Zuppa and lasagna. We got the Zuppa last because they were just starting to make it when we came in. It was well worth the wait. We have decided that we need to veer to other areas of the menu instead of our regular grinders. I hope you all veer from your usual and try new items. Best Italian around without having to go to Federal Hill in Providence.
Ordered a small Stromboli and teriyaki garlic wings from Bella Italia Pizza 1 tonight for take out and can not rave how good and fresh the whole meal was! The wings were super crispy when I got them home and had plenty of sauce. The Stromboli for $13.99 was huge and the fresh veggies and meats were the best part of the meal! Also got terramasu but ate it all in 30 seconds and no picture. Next time we'll dine in for BOGO on all glasses of wine on Wednesdays. Make sure to...
Read moreThis is hilarious, i had a delivery a few months ago that was not correct. I called up and let them know that they forgot a slice of pizza. They finally brought the slice over. I noticed that i ordered an extra garlic bread and they gave me a couple of slices when my last delivery actually had a whole loaf. I called up and complained that the slice that they delivered was so dry that it probably was the one that sat on top of the oven for over an hour and that they didn't give me the extra garlic bread that i ordered. They instead decided to argue with me over this, so i said forget it i would never order there again. Well a few months goes by and i decide let me give them another chance. i call up give them my info and the person puts me on hold than comes back and says their system is down. Well it seemed fishy to me so i had someone else call with their phone and all of a sudden they are taken the order. She questioned the person why they wouldn't take the first order and their response was that i was put in the computer to never deliver. Here is my issue they Blacklisted me from ever getting a delivery because of their issues and problems so if i get this correct if you call Bella Italia and complain they blacklist you from getting service. If even one person reads this can i say i would NEVER EVER do business with this restaurant Funny i guess that their food is so great they can afford to pick and choose who they do business with Well not this Guy. Hate to say it Dominos will...
Read moreIf the people that run this place think you're wrong, and they are right, they will treat you with sarcasm, poor customer service, and make fun of you (look at their low rating review responses). I experienced a mix up with my order and when I called back, the male that answered the phone was obviously annoyed with me because "they're busy" and hung up on me without stating goodbye. The food wasn't bad, tasted fresh, but I can't say it was good enough for me to recommend to a friend. Honestly, the pizza was forgettable. These reviews are over-hyped. And now that I looked further into the reviews after my poor experience, I am shocked at how poorly they also treated other customers. I understand that sometimes someone has a bad day and may have not treated a customer with the best service, however, it seems to be a trend with this restaurant to respond to everyone who doesn't think they're great with sarcasm and belittlement. Look at how they responded poorly to reviews with low ratings. Seriously, filter reviews to the low ratings and see how high and mighty these people think they are. For a recent low rating, they implied that the reviewer cannot afford $3 rolls. For another reviewer, responded with "I would say you could always try us again; however, I know these are tough economic times." As well as this one: "If our food is too much for your wallet, please remember we do have a child's menu". Why would you want to give your money to a business that is low class and makes fun...
