Her name was ANIE — easily the most disrespectful and rude Chick-fil-A employee I’ve ever encountered.
I’ve been going to Chick-fil-A for over 10 years, and this was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m only writing this because, honestly, the whole flight after, I couldn’t stop thinking, what did I even do to deserve that kind of attitude?
It was 6 AM — fine, maybe she was tired or having a bad morning. But that’s no excuse to treat paying customers like garbage. She was all smiles and friendly with the person before us (who happened to be speaking her language), and the moment she saw me, her entire demeanor flipped. I’m a person of color myself — I don’t care what language people speak — but I do care when I’m clearly being treated differently. At a freaking airport Chick-fil-A, of all places.
Normally I’d let stuff like this slide, but there were two separate incidents within 10 minutes that made it impossible. And if I’m writing a whole damn essay on Google Reviews about this person, you know it was bad.
First incident: my girlfriend doesn’t drink coffee and just wanted to try a sip to see if she liked it before buying one. You’d think I asked for her paycheck. I politely asked a couple of times if we could get just a little to taste (I’d already spent over $9 on food — wasn’t asking for a freebie). Instead of answering, she completely ignored the request and said, “You can go pick up your food in the corner over there.” I had to ask two more times before she finally handed over the tiny sample, acting shocked and visibly annoyed that I even asked. Not one smile, not a single “you’re welcome,” nothing — just cold, irritated energy. I said “thank you so much,” and she straight-up ignored me.
My girlfriend and I sat down afterward, looked at each other, and genuinely asked, “What did we even do?” We waited a long time before going back up because neither of us wanted to deal with her again.
Second incident: I finally went back up to order a light ice iced coffee. She looks at me weird, tosses in maybe two ice cubes, and starts pouring. I asked nicely for just a little more ice — completely ignored. When I asked for a small cup of ice on the side, she looked at me like I’d just asked her to hand over her retirement savings and mumbled, “Jesus Christ.”
That’s where I drew the line. I asked her if she had a problem with me, and she hit me with this fake, sarcastic line: “No sir, you get what you want, you get what you want.” Like seriously? That’s how you talk to customers?
This woman has no business working in customer service. She’s the exact kind of employee that ruins the reputation of a brand known for politeness and respect. If this is the standard Chick-fil-A’s hiring now, I guess I could apply too — apparently, you don’t even need basic manners anymore.
Honestly, this was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, period. Serious action needs to be taken against Anie, because no customer deserves to be treated that way — especially not at a place built on kindness and customer care. I’ll be avoiding Chick-fil-A at MCO...
Read moreI was about to order a #2 Spicy Deluxe Sandwich Meal Combo and realized that I only had $7 in my Chick-fil-A account. I stood in the line and added $25 to ny account to cover the purchase. I placed my order and when I showed the cashier the QR Code for her to scan it, she said that they do not have the scanner here. She said that they are not part of the franchise and so they do not use that firm of payment at all. I explained what I just did about loading the $25 and now I can't use it. I said to her angrily that they could put up a sign of some sort to keep Chick-fil-A customers with accounts informed. She then called a manager and explained what I said. He repeated what she said to me and I told him that I know and asked if he could put up a sign. He said he doesn't think so and shrugged me off. To make matters worse, I walked away to a table to eat my sandwich and when I opened it, it the order was wrong. It was just a spicy sandwich. I'm sure this service is not up to par according to...
Read moreI was very disappointed in the customer service given by Annalien G. I was barely greeted. She asked me what I wanted, I told her but because she was fast talking over me she couldn’t hear what I was telling her therefore I had to keep repeating myself. Then she told me I couldn’t scan my rewards app, didn’t even give me an explanation as to why she was just steadily looking at me as if i did something to her. I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day or what but I’ve worked in the customer service industry for 10+ years before I became an entrepreneur and the service that was given to me today was just unacceptable, especially for chick-fil-a’s standards. I actually just got out of the line and didn’t buy anything because I was so disgusted with the service. Hopefully Annalien G receives more training or has a better...
