I traveled to Orlando a couple of weeks ago for family reasons. Before my return flight, I decided to stop at the Shake Shack at the Orlando airport. The food was good. I had the Smoke Stack burger and fries. Besides the food, what really stood out the most was the service. The service at the counter was great. When I was ordering my food, one of the servers really went above and beyond. I was in Orlando to attend the funeral of my grandmother and was on my way back home. For obvious reasons, I was not in a great mood. I was sitting with my meal and speaking on the phone with one of my relatives. I didn't know it at the time but one of the servers overhead me speaking about my grandma. After I finished my meal and got of the phone, I was getting up to go to my gate to wait for my flight. The server walked over to me and offered condolences and spoke with me for a while. She was very kind and supportive and it was exactly what I needed at that moment. Her name is Shirley and I want to thank her again for her kind words and for taking the time to console a stranger at a time of need. We need more people like this in the world and there are genuinely kind people that walk this earth. Unfortunately, the negative people seem to get the bulk of the attention but there are good people out there if you take the time to find them. I was lucky that day. A good person found me and helped me in my time of need. I will never forget her warmth and kindness. God bless her and I wish her nothing...
Read moreI've loved Shake Shack ever since first trying it in New York years ago. I was very excited when they opened some locations in Florida, but some are better than others (I-drive and Vineland outlets are great, but the University Mall location is terrible)
I am always wary of airport locations of any food chains as airports are never normally as good.
The terminal C location food was surprisingly very very good! The burger patties were thin with crispy edges. Greasy and well seasoned with amazing flavour, and really juicy. In a really good fresh soft potato roll.
However the rest of the experience was not great. It felt a bit like they opened yesterday and had no idea what they were doing. I have to agree with other reviews that the girl serving was really not very friendly, very abrupt, doesn't smile and clearly doesn't enjoy her job. There was no warning about how long the food would take, and it did take a while! While I was waiting I watched multiple customers collecting their orders then returning to say something was wrong or missing.
My rating is based on the taste and quality of the food which was the great standard I've enjoyed at Shake Shack in the past, and I would definitely get food here again next time I'm at the airport (but make sure you've got enough time before...
Read moreNiesha and Stephanie Are extremely rude cooks and servers. My sister ordered a bacon & egg sandwich- but it had to be put in as a bacon, egg & cheese without cheese on it. Niesha served my sister the sandwich with cheese on it. When my sister explained to them she requested no cheese niesha immediately got an attitude. She proceeded to glared at my sister and ask her sarcastically if she wanted a sandwich with just egg and bacon. When she went back to the kitchen to tell Stephanie to remake it, Stephanie then proceeded to make crying noises like a baby while niesha laughed, like it was a big inconvenience and we’re complaining no reason. Then we had to return back up there again because they forgot to add her breakfast sauce. My sister has galactosemia and she shouldn’t be discriminated against due to her illness. How they acted was completely unacceptable and trying to embarrass her in front of a crowd is unprofessional to say the least. These two workers need ethics training and a better understanding of the seriousness...
