Had a bad experience today. I like this place and always drive miles to get there although I have even closer stores to me but I preferred this place and wanted to support them. Today at the cashier when I was ready to pay there was a new lady whom I had never met before. Terrible attitude and very disrespectful. I had a olives container which the lid did not fit and I asked the lady if she could help but she throw her shoulders up and she said change it! I said nothing and I then left the olives because couldn’t find a right lid for it Bought almonds and it didn’t have any expiration date on it. I asked her if she could see any expiration date on the package and again she lifted her shoulders and said these are new I don’t know. Instead of helping or even asking anyone about the expiration date she just moved scanning the items. Bought couple yogurts which later noticed the price was $17 so I decided to return it. I asked her if I can return it she then gave me an eye and said whatever. She asked me to scan my cc which usually that’s not required and it said transaction approved. So I was confused and wanted to make sure that’s right. I asked her a question and she got nasty. She got upset and with a loud voice she said “you want your refund and I’m giving you refund” well when I saw her behaving like that, I lost it. I got upset and told her to not give me that attitude. She got even louder. Their manager even backed her up. Very upsetting and disappointing. Don’t know this lady’s name but she is short and older age like 50or 60. Want the owner ready this and know that I would not visit the store until this...
Read moreI visited this store for the first time today. I read several reviews about the expired foods, so I checked everything I picked up. I did not find any expired foods for sale. About 3/4ths of the store is Middle Eastern foods (Lebanese, Turkish, Persian), Greek (mostly foods similar to Middle Eastern, eg. phyllo dough, feta cheese, olives, spanikopita), or South Asian foods (Indian, Pakistani). The remainder is a mix of British, South African, Croatian, Russian, Polish, and Brazilian foods. There were a few items from East Asia, but not many. The prices varied from cheap to expensive. Overall, I think their prices were not expensive, except for frozen foods (many items in the freezer were expensive, except pierogi). The restaurant had good food, but the selection (on a Saturday at noon) was limited: samosas, chicken or beef kebab, or gyro for main item plus greek salad, baba ghanoush, hummus, stuffed grape leaves (they were oily, so probably canned and not made in the store, but price was good at 2/$1), and probably 2-3 more side dishes that I can't remember. Prices were about $7.49-$9 for meals (main dish, 2 sides, bread, and drink). They also have various deserts that look like they are made in the store. Overall, it was something different from other international food stores that focus on one region (Middle Eastern, East Asian, Hispanic, Brazillian). I recommend visiting at least once and spending an hour browsing the entire store, even if you...
